Or you can do full body workouts with compound movements and actually get strong.
Go to the women's section for that.

Desbro is big into Crossfit.
Let me guess, the scaphoid bone. Small peanut shaped just below the thumb, otherwise known as a boxer break.
Broke mine over 10 years ago, doc wanted to perform the same procedure. I said I'll come back if and when I am unable to grip a barbell.
Never went back, still pains me once in a while.
So its official - ive become a married fatarse father and have grown a set of man tits. I started walking and doing push up a couple of weeks ago and have knocked off half the size of the twin peaks... id say another few weeks and theyll be gone.. but id still be a fat arse with my double keg setup around my waist
Im looking for some conditioning ideas to get me in a state where i can actually start to workout without hurting myself. I just realized its been nearly 7-8 years since i lifted weights.
Prior to getting married and having a kid, i was really active. Id ride 15-30 miles a day on a bike, circuit train every other day, play basketball, box (training not fighting) golf. After getting married the only exercise i got was golf and sex.. I stopped playing golf awhile back and really ballooned.. BUT even when i was still playing golf regularly, i was slowly gaining some weight.
All i have on the agenda is push ups, situps, exercise bike, walking and using resistance bands to get my muscles back up to speed the next few months. Doing push ups is a struggle.. a set of 20 kills me. i use to be able to knock out 100+ in a min and not really be tired.. hell i use to sneak in 50+ after every set on the bench.. now im shaking at 10.. haha.. i know those numbers will jump after awhile though..
i guess the routine now is 10-30 minutes on the exercise bike in the morning, and walking at night for my cardio... while mixing in the bands and push/sit ups.. eating mo better
Any other ideas?
I would suggest not killing yourself right off the bat- I see people come and go at the gym all the time for that reason. They push way too hard to gain ground, get sore, and drop out.
If you can, get a fitbit- they are pretty kick ass. it becomes like a video game... rack up those points!
The other thing is lifestyle changes. Realistically, working out often falls to the wayside when you get busy or things crop up in life. You have to avoid the situations that hurt you before- going to the bar, eating lunch out, things like that.
Plus, you gotta give yourself a day off every week. maybe sunday is your cheat day... it will be easier to turn down a plate of nachos or a bowl of ice cream on friday if you know you can eat goodies on sunday.
the most successful weight loss stories I have seen have been guys who tailor their normal days and diets to their ideal calorie intake and activity, and working out is just cake on top of that. that way, even if they cant get to the gym or whatnot, they are still on track and still losing.
yeah im going slow... its more about conditioning myself so i dont hurt myself before turning up the workload... im about a month in of walking and doing some basic stuff like push ups, situps and using a resistant band... i havent lost any weight but ive dropped inches.. my man tits are back to man boobs pecs and my clothes are a little looser.. i know muscle weighs more than fat and im sure im gaining some back in my chest and legs...
i still havent ordered the ddp yet.. our son is having a lipoma removed from his spinal cord tomorrow..... so lets just say certain things dont matter and we are putting BS off at the moment..
God I hate that lol

Should should try the five knuckle shuffle. You have to alternate arms or you'll get off balance.

Not true, just use your non dominant arm.
