Hendry said Trammel will not be interviewed for job next year, but Quade will.

Typical Cubs though, pick the AAA manager over the major league one.

You know what, the Cubs are probably doing Trammel a favor. He deserves another chance to be a MLB manager, and being the man in charge of the 2011 Cubs will not be good for the resume. Especially since Trammel already had those bad Tigers teams.

For everyone involved, it's probably for the best.

I'll miss his fiery ejections, but it was time for a change.

Trammel isn't taking over because if he is going to be interviewed for the job, giving him the rest of this season would be unfair to the other candidates.

Fairness? Really? It's business. If anything, they should give him the reigns so that they can see what he can do.

Some of you are shitting on Lou. He did have a less than stellar year, but I think it says alot about his character that he is leaving to be with his ailing mom.
