I think he's being facetious.
I keep getting confused but I understand the point that he doesn't think fields was given enough to be fairly judged. I think most of us agree fields wasn't supported well throughout his 3 years but I also don't know how poles could justify passing on qb again this year.

The irony for Poles is that he's put himself in a fantastic position with the Panthers trade but if he gets the call wrong now it could well be his undoing.

He needs to trust the instincts that got him into this position in the first place.

That’s a fantastic listen. Thank you for posting it.

I think the guys below should watch all of it. It cuts through so much nonsense you read on this board. Quite frankly, every Bear fan should give it a view.

There's absolutely nothing that's going to convince me that Justin Fields is going to be great. I was off the Justin Fields train very early and I'm not getting back on.

Justin Fields is terrible for a lot of different reasons but the biggest reason he's terrible is also the reason I no longer want him as QB of the Chicago Bears.

He's not going to magically become a better QB. He can improve but he's never going to be elite.

Example A is Dak Prescott. Prescott had his best season as a pro this year and like he has every he's been to the playoffs promptly shit the bed.

This argument isn't even about Justin Fields anymore. It's about Kirk Cousins and his career failures in the playoffs. Tua Tagovaiola Dak Prescott and if Josh Allen isn't in the Super Bowl this year it could become the same issue with him.

We may see CJ Stroud start his career legacy today if he beats the Ravens who are clearly the better team. There are QBs across the league that have it and others who don't.

Justin Fields Dak Prescott Kirk Cousins Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovaiola don't have it.

Patrick Mahomes has it, Joe Burrow has it and then there's everyone else.

Josh Allen could have the same legacy of failure in the playoffs as Aaron Rodgers.

I'm not looking for Brock Purdy. I'm not looking for a Jared Goff. I have an incredibly high standard for QB play, probably a completely unreasonable and high expectation for QB play.

But I'm completely over good QB and hoping someone who is so fantastically bad hopefully becomes good.

That's my view as well.

I am a big fam of Fields' personality, leadership skills, athletic ability. The Bears failed in developing him. But I just don't think he is going to be good enough as a passer to justify not taking Williams. If the Bears were drafting #9 and 10, I would probably advocate for keeping Fields.

I just want the Bears to be good. My kid is nine, I'd like him to see a few good Bears teams while he's still a kid. I am nerd about the Bears and I feel like they help to connect me to the city, lots of family and friends. I truly don't care how they get to be good. If it's Fields, great. Williams, great. Elite defense, great.

Which isn't a good argument because stroud has a good OL they dumped a ton of resources in and a pretty solid group of weapons.
We already went through this. We didn’t know any of these players on the Texans, Stroud is the only reason they’re good. Bears gave Fields multiple chances and did everything in their power to help him succeed

Agreed. They shouldn’t have tagged you as you bring nothing worthwhile to the argument or debate

So basically there’s 2 guys that “have it” according to you, but the bears are supposed to magically find the 3rd guy that “has it?!”

Totes makes sense

I’m sure after Stroud loses today you’ll proclaim he doesn’t “have it” and that Lamar now does “have it” when he ends up in the Super Bowl this year after stating he doesn’t “have it” prior to it

Keep up the good work captain hindsight! Way to call out who is great after they are already so.

How about you tell us who “has it” before they already “have it?!”

Really good listen.. sorry if already posted:

Yeah...I saw this . Riddick made some good points. The 2 guys asking the questions seem upset that Riddick isn't going along with the trading JF bs. LOL

Sir this is CCS. It’s one or the fucking other. No in between!
Meh. That argument will always be an enigma. We won’t know how Fields plays unless he is actually on a good staff. Nagy proved he is bad and Getsy obviously was
