None whatsoever, it's at the start of this thread in black and white.

You really are a loser.

A few questions:

1. Is that the best beard in the NFL? And would the Bears have won the Super Bowl if he had that beard?

(Yes and yes)

2. Will you root for him in Houston?

(Yes)

3. Do you appreciate him more now?

(Yes. I wanted him fired at the time but after several shit coaches in a row I have to admit I look at the Lovie years a lot more fondly these days)
No, the Bears themselves had two better beards than Lovie, both linemen.

I think he was probably the best HC the Bears have had since the early Ditka days, which isn't saying much. Lovie's good run could have been a lot better, he may still be here if he could have solved the offense and QB questions. I felt at the time his D was too passive following the glory days with the 46. He's a good person and I wish him the best unless it's against us. He was awful @ Illinois.

Don't get rattled by someone who is better than you. You just don't like being a loser on a message board. Not my problem.

The beard is absolutely stunning

that said, hear me out…I think the bears need a HC with a power mustache. A guy that can grow a real “Selleck” is what we need

I still remember Lovie’s mock press conference he had me bought in that day as a kid. I was so hyped compared to the boring Dick Jauron. Then he came out and said his number one goal and the meatball in my was fully inspired.

He had a nice run but ultimately his ego with Ron and Martz was his downfall. If he had made it work with those two I believe he wins a super bowl. 2010 and 2011 were both great opportunities not just 2006.

I’d take those years back over the crap since in a heartbeat, but bottom line, they were still not good enough. If he had won just one, it would have been a golden era for this team.

I’ll always be a fan and hope he can have success in Houston, if nothing else he is smart enough to grab the cash.

Is it just me or is Eberflus in the same mold as Lovie was?

He is defensively focused and will likely not be highly involved in the Offense.

I think ownership was reluctant to let Lovie go, because they believed he was a good leader and DC, but they were unable to attract or identify an OC that could develop the offense, so they went through several Offensive minded HC in an attempt to change that.

When they hired Fox, they quickly worried that the investment in Trubisky was going to go south, so they jumped back to an offensive HC.

I wish Lovie all the best, but when the Bears let him go, I felt it might be a mistake, but I was also eager to see what the future held.

The fact that Lovie and Eberflus are different races, is honestly irrelevant to me, but until the NFL demonstrates that it is not passing over highly qualified minority coaches to hire white coaches rules like the Rooney rule must be in place.

Now the argument that teams are simply checking the box by interviewing minorities is a complete other issue. I don't have the answer....
I think Lovie said something about the bears getting a good coach in Eberflus. I don't think they directly crossed paths but Eberflus was the linebackers coach in Dallas for a while alongside Rod Marinelli who was the d line coach, and that's where Lovie is probably getting his info from.

Let's hope Eberflus is new age Lovie with a good QB (and offense).
