Teams tank all the time and in many sports. This isn't new.

so my point is "tanking" borders on fixed games. And I've seen it happen in the playoffs & SB.
IMO is sucks and tarnishes sports.

Maybe Getsy secretly wants to stick around to see the offense he's laying ground to pay off in the next few years? Who knows.

No Bears coach is trying to lose games. Please stop.

The Bears don’t need any extra help losing. You know this.

He was definitely not trying to win the game today. Fields was damn near perfect throwing the ball, short, intermediate and deep ball dimes and in the 2nd half he neutered him. Wildcat with 2 RBs when your QB is the biggest run threat on the team? Throws behind the line on 3rd and 5+. He was definitely tanking. I wouldn't read too much into this. Get some talent on the offense and then judge him.

Just tell your players you're not trying to win the game.
Yeah. A guy that has help JF go from "bust" to "franchise" and lead this offense to more 30 point games in a season than any of us can remember. But you want wins right? In a season where at this point every win actually hurts this team. You are truly a meatball and so is every other idiot judging this team on wins at this point. Yeah Getsy is just terrible.

Fields sustained a thumb injury at some point on his throwing hand, not sure if that factored into the horrible play calling or not.

But yeah, not a good second half especially considering how good he was playing

Not worried. A few games with some questionable stretches re: the play calling, but none of us knows the full story of the injury. I would not be surprised if he is calling more conservative plays to protect Fields from himself. But who knows.

What I have enjoyed is he has tried to adapt the play calling to the personnel, instead of the players adapting to the scheme. The anti-Nagy.

Who knows, he may not work out. But remember-aside from JF, there aren’t really any elite talents on offense. And for the first time in a while, it has been the defense that has been more responsible for the loss, rather than the lack of offensive production.

Just tell your players you're not trying to win the game.

First half was real. Second half was easing off the gas and full on tank mode.

If it were any more obvious, it'd be TOO obvious, a'la "tank for Tua" and NFL would pitch a collective fit. I sure hope this is also why Flus is Captain Positive in these post-game pressers. Were this team in contention he should be much more serious, but this is a tryout at this point. I digress; coach speak is another topic.

People complaining about this loss or getting all pissy are clueless. Pass rush is historically bad and draft capital will help that in a major way. Or we continue to flounder in future seasons over meaningless wins now. ?

Fields was finally throwing it all over in the first half like when Happy Gilmore learned how to putt. The only halftime adjustments I saw were Bears coaches holding them back with a deluge of weak-ass to full on shit play calls after halftime.

Why hasn't someone asked Flus about the shitty play calling in the last 3-4 games and why? What about Getz' accountability?

There was maybe 2 or 3 play calls by Getsy that I actually liked the entire 2nd half. That is impressive that an OC can call that many questionable play calls in a half. The conservative play calls also had no disguise to them at all. Watch all the short screens in the 2nd half, the formations they were run out of were 100% predictable and Green Bay actually showed they knew when they were coming. The sad thing is he called it multiple times. I'm not sold on Getsy as our OC but willing to give him another year since he has seemed to help unlock Fields ability some. I hope his tendency to swing conservative when leads get close or we have a small lead changes and that he becomes more aggressive in putting games away.
