LSU was a good team thanks to its elite offense that year. Their defense was trash. I’ll grant you KSU being decent defensively

Mentioning that Georgia and OSU were loaded with NFL caliber defenders just proves my point since guess who burden will be playing against now…NFL caliber players

Like I said, I’m not saying he’s going to be a total bust. Just that there’s reasons to pump the brakes on the hype train.

Bears fans do this every year…over hype some draft pick
I love, love, LOVE, the burden pick. I don't think I was ever so disappointed, then so happy so quickly. I wanted the Bears to land Henderson, but Burden is a monster. To have Rome, DJ, Burden and Loveland is going to be a nightmare for opposing DCs imo.

He's under hyped.

He fell to us because he is a diabolical narcissist type WR.
He will never get enough balls to be happy.
He will never ever get enough balls with Swift/Moore/Loveland/Odunze/Cement all ahead of him in opportunity.

He's going to be unhappy and probably get in some trouble because he is victimized so frequently. (Eye roll )

No, but apparently yours was struck enough to critique the fact people are having a debate on a message board that exists for sports discourse

Sorry that calling you on this sort of retort being absolutely asinine bothers you enough to where you felt your only response could be, “oh man, how butthurt are you?!”

quick question...

guys that are rostered on an NFL roster are above average college football players or not? cook is on an NFL roster currently

and you are harping on 1 game against georgia as if that is the only game where he played against a good defense and acting like cook is the only QB to ever miss a throw.

MHJ for example played with QB's that missed throws as well, yet he managed to still dominate good defenses.

luther burden is not the first WR to play with a QB that missed throws sometimes

He wasn't drafted. Signed as a UDFA. He may not even make the roster.

He was 61st, 23rd, and 66th in passing as a college quarterback. He finished 80th, 43rd, and 109th in passing TDs.

This is above average? I mean...really? Looks just plain average to me.

Not for nothing, your argument has been interesting to follow. All parties involved contributed facts, perception, and evidence rationally. I’ve been following it and enjoying it while developing my own understanding.

My conclusion is that I am still very happy to have gotten LB3. It is good that he doesn’t have to be a number 1. He gets to be a complementary piece. If he had been drafted to be WR1, I’d be pissed and worried. Rome is the X. DJ MF Moore is the true #1. There are two TEs that can be outlets and one a flex that can play slot. This allows LB3 to just exist in his specific talent set and catch 5-7 targets a game that each have huge potential to be TDs.

He is the joker player that stresses a D that Poles has been looking for and BJ needs. Now, is he a bum slayer? Maybe. Maybe he just stays a top returner and a 3/45 a year WR. Oh well. But, if he hits what I think he can, shit’ll be lit!

Again, so he’s on an NFL roster currently correct?

And that’s more than the average former college football player can say, correct?

Thus, that would make him an above average college football player

If you disagree with this much, then there’s no point in us continuing to go any further into this discussion

Don't let @knoxville7 fool you, he has the entire Bears passing offense and is eyeing Burden/Loveland
I only got 1 pick in this draft!! They’ll both be gone by my 2nd round pick, I’m sure

But you’re right, I have DJ Moore…the entire bears passing offense haha

Above average college QB that sucked against NFL starting caliber DBs. Which makes sense as that is why he was undrafted as he is a marginal NFL QB prospect.

Yep, figured only way Rome is any good fantasy wise is if Caleb is good. So, went with the QB since the league is expanding that position

Really hoping fields takes off with the jets as my QB #2, cuz I have a feeling Brock Purdy is about to regress a bit as my only other QB rostered
