Listening to ESPN radio today, Mac Jones is one of the standouts. Very accurate and hitting guys in stride. I think he may go in picks 15-20, for teams looking at a pocket passer.

Certainly has his limitations, but the kid can throw it no doubt.

Yup. I was hoping he'd stay home instead of Trask. Coaches are going to love working him and he'll move up the draft board. There could be 5 gone by 20.

He seems like a realistic option, but we may have to jump New England.

Looks like Jones and Harris won't play Saturday both with ankles.

Before Jones rolled his ankle yesterday, he was having those Jones/Herbert type of practices which escalated both of their stocks into #6 selections.

Riddick, Mcshay and Tannebaum were all singing his praises, even mentioning that he possibly climbed up into the #4 QB slot.

Tannebaum mentioned several times that he thought Carolina might take him at 8 because Ruhle saw him all week.

Mcshay spoke with Ruhle who said his team team was down one score 8 times in the 4th quarter and not once could they get a drive to come back.

Rhule insinuated that wants another QB to take over for their poster boy of bridge QBs whether thats Fields, Wison, Lance or Jones and they all thought Carolina would move up if need be.

There are possibly 6 teams in the top 9 selections who could select a QB.
Good chance 5 could go in top 15, wouldnt rule out 5 in top 10.
its going to be a crazy top part of the draft this year.

they say jones' anticipation is NFL level off the charts, my only concern w/ him is his arm strength in the lakefront winds of December...but we see where that got cutler

Jones is going to look good in an environment where he isn't going to get hit.

I'm sure he'll also look great at his pro day. He is very accurate and makes fast, accurate reads.

If you can really protect him he will be legit. But that's easier said than done. I don't think he's going to be very good under pressure.

If he goes at 15, that's life. You will have 5 QBs off the board by pick 15, and you just draft value at that point.

Pace is in a tough spot that is well deserved. No guarantee of a premier QB in the draft and nothing but overpriced FA QBs to choose from before the draft.

Agreed, that you have to have a plan for him. He is not like the other QBs in the draft that have plus athletic ability but might need defined reads. He is the exact opposite. He can likely run the entire playbook early, but needs top protection.

He is such a great fit in New England. That quick hitting system based on pre-snap reads mixing in the play action vertical.

So a great fit for a functional nfl offense..
For an offense with the characteristics of NE with Brady, basically an Erhardt based offense where it's easy to make changes on the ball to take advantage of mismatches or play fast, because everything is based on route combinations.

This is good news for the Bears assuming Nagy/Pace don’t like him lol.

Im not buying Mac Jones. 1 year starter that is limited physically and was surrounded by all world talent. He would have to be elite at reading defenses with elite accuracy to have sustained success.

And he has both of those traits.

By all accounts he has both.

I'm tired of QB's that don't have a brane. This kid has one.

I'm tired of QB's that can't hit wide open WR's. This kid can.

Better draft all O-Linemen. The dude cannot move.
One of the online draft "experts" has the Bears drafting OT's with the first 2 picks... QB with the 3rd pick.

I think if Jones or one of the other touted QB's somehow falls... somehow... You run to the podium and grab OT's later.

Can he hit a covered receiver?
Can he get rid of the ball in .08 seconds?
Can he take getting hit a lot?
Is he really worth giving away multiple draft picks for?
I would rather keep my draft pick and see what happens

He is a statue. I watched a few of his games and he just doesn’t look like an NFL quarterback or at least not one I would mortgage the future for. If he is there at 20 maybe
