Just like in the above tweet, Jones is really good at the 5 yard passes, if he didn't waste his time on the long passes, he could have gotten about 25 1 point targets and been respectable.
Belichick and his OC saw his limitations and skills and used him appropriately. Lots of short passes that kept the chains moving.
