Did I say it did? It's my opinion. Comment if you like. Or don't.

I for one am pretty happy we just got the best Bears defender in decades in his prime.

And you made a thread about a pointless opinion. 2 different positions-- one guys retired. Are they in a competition that we aren't aware of?

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. You'll get over it.

Odd comparison. 2 different players playing 2 different positions being asked to do 2 different things.

Not really. Two Bears players. Both elite. Both defenders. Just stating I think one is better than the other. I'm excited about the fact that we have a player playing better than a recent HOF inductee. Sorry, but not sorry.

As of right now I would say Mack is more impactful. He's doing unprecedented stuff right now.

You don't have to be sorry but comparing apples to oranges never seems like the right thing to do.

How is comparing one Bears defender to another an apples to oranges question? Do we not have top 10 Bears players lists all the time?

Mack is asked to be disruptive and that's what he is. Urlacher was asked to defend a big area of the field and that's what he did. The disruptive one will get more notice but both are as valuable to the team.

If you could pick one of the two in his prime to build a Bears defense around which one would you pick?

Obviously both are great, but I would go with Mack.

Only a moron would compare those 2 players

Crack heads do crackhead things. Don’t worry about trying to make sense of it...no one can.

Different animals. Urlacher was a pure MLB with incredible range. People are still unsure if Mack is a DE or a rush LB. He reminds me of Wilbur Marshall.

Mack and it isn't close. He both plays a more impactful position and is better and more dominant at his position than Urlacher was at his. Urlacher was never the best MLB in football, Ray Lewis was. Mack is the best pass rusher in football. I would argue that he's the best defensive player in football right now.

To bad Urlacher couldn't play for Fangio. If you want to get a handle on his actual chops, watch the AZ game from 2006. Broke out of the scheme and controlled the game in the second 1/2. Nor saying he's better but he was held back.

Same thing. Main responsibilities are rushing the QB and outside contain. A 3-4 rush LB is a DE in the 4 man front sub packages.
