Something is brewing, this is more than just adding some flexibility.

They're gonna need the money to get the huge signing of Kaare Vedvik.

Does this give Pace room to re-sign Amos?

I think/hope so? I don't understand what delayed the restructure. Agreements with FAs are already being put into place.

Could be they negotiate a deal or deals and then do the restructure as necessary?

Could be something they didn't want to do without assurances from a FA player that he was on board. That's a lot of cap room to clear. I have to think the other part of this will come today.

I was just wondering what took Pace so long to restructure all of these contracts into signing bonuses. Fell like he could have done it week ago and been in a better position heading into the tampering period. Slacker

They could do whatever they want. This leads me to believe it wasn't part of Pace's "plan". But who knows.

Whatever the bears announce is probably already decided. It sounds like the Bears were waiting for FA to start either because they are getting a player they had to wait to speak with or because they waited for a price to be set for Amos.

If you believe the rumors, signs point to Bell.

I hope it's Bell, if just for the "interest factor". One Mike Davis thread already gave me "Mike Davis Fatigue". CCS is simply incredible at times.
