Mack trade update

It should be about a 10 pick swap. Bears should make the playoffs next year w/ the packers getting worse, and more than likely the raiders will be a bottom 5 team.

My guess is a 25 for 35 swap. Still a disgusting steal. Like another poster stated, if we make the playoffs this year it comes out to essentially a single mid teens first round pick for an NFL all pro if you factor in trade values.

I fully expect TRU to hit his stride next year but the Bears have some problems with roster/cap issues next year.

I don’t understand why people keep dismissing the Packers in the future. The have a ton of draft picks and cap space while having a generational QB.

lol amazing. So if we make a deep playoff run next season we could have gotten Mack for one 1st in the 20's and a 10 pick trade down. Unbelievable. Yeah this definitely has the potential to be one of the worst trades of all time if Mack ends up being a HOF.

Gruden and Mark Davis fleeced us just like that genius in San Francisco, John Lynch. Both of which are now reaping the spoils, while we dwell in the cellar.

Gruden gave us a prime HOF player and a 2nd round pick so he can draft two busts in the 1st round.

It was the most lopsided traded in NFL history. I mean didn’t Hershel Walker get traded for 26 picks or something?

What makes you confident that gruden is capable of that? What have you seen over the span of this season to make you think he has any idea what he is doing as far as the franchise goes?

If the Bears make the playoffs the next 2 years, worst they could pick is 21. To be safe, the highest the Raiders can pick is #10(Really doubt there are 9 teams worse than them this year/next).

If bears pick 21, and raiders pick 10 the next couple seasons, it still doesn't average out to the value of a top 10 pick(It would actually be a #11 pick). Draft was a complete steal when it happened, and looks more like it now.

If Raiders had traded with the 49ers instead they could be looking at 2 top 5 draft picks next year....

The 2020 5th round pick we got is a conditional pick and we don't know what the terms are for us to get that pick.

The pick scenario is exactly what I said could easily happen once we made the trade.

I could care less about making the Raiders feel bad, this is more about how the value of the trade, b/c we are doing good, and the raiders aren't, is favoring us even more as we go along. This is best case scenario on the trade for us. We do great, they suck, etc... This way as opposed to us losing a top 10 pick b/c we sucked, we are losing a mid-twenties pick and we are gaining right back a mid-thirties pick.
