He's got a mental disease which is exactly what I suspected when I heard about the shooting and expected it more when the "being the joker" came out.

So stop trying to make him look like a terrible person. Something is wrong in his head. Not saying what he did was right because it's awful and terrible, but he's got issues. I just wish that people would take possible mental problems more seriously and get treated because taking lives for it isn't okay.

Mental illness and killing people aren't a popular item (i.e sells stories) unless we're talking about a serial killer. But even then...it's more of the "why did he do it" vs "how could we have helped him"

In this case, gun control issue will get more people up in arms. And comments by pundits in regards to mental illness will be "well of course he's not right in the head."

Somebody who enters a movie theater with 3 guns and a canister of gas is a terrible person. If they can't rationalize that injuring 59 people and killing 12(so far) is a bad decision, they didn't just "make a mistake", they're a hazard to society.
