Manchester United announces roster for Fire game, U.S. tour - Chicago Tribune

Manchester United is bringing a collection of its top international standouts to its July 23 friendly against the Fire at Soldier Field.

United announced its provisional roster for a five-game U.S. tour on Saturday, a series that also includes the 2011 MLS All-Star game and matches at New England, Seattle and a game against Barcelona in the Washington, D.C. area.

Man U's 27-man roster includes team captain Nemanja Vidic, English national team stars Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, Brazilian twins Fabio and Rafael, French international Patrice Evra, Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov and Portuguese winger Nani.

Mexican standout Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is expected to join United's tour at an unspecified date.

The Fire said that 50,000 tickets have already been sold for the match.

No, Chi-Fire has tickets to that game, I don't. I have tickets to Tuesday's Fire game against the Red Bulls.

And now I exchanged those US Open Cup tickets for regular season tickets in August.

I will be going to the Fire and United game. United brought their full squad minus only Fletcher and 2 of the new arrivals who will be coming later in the tour.

Chicharito will not be in America at all :(, he will join the team back in the UK and his target come back is the Paul Scholes testimonial game vs New York at OT.

yea Chicha is getting an extended rest cuz he went from World Cup, straight to long season where he played alot more than expected to Gold Cup. He needs to sleep.

I paid 150 for my tickets but they are damn damn good seats.
