That's not what I said at all.
You said you doubted he WASNT a victim did you not? Or did I mis-interpret what you said.
That's not what I said at all.
It's appalling what the media has become.
what I was saying is that there are some things that you could look at that could make you think he was just a victim, but if you look at all the evidence, it's pretty overwhelming and I have a hard time believing he wasn't a part of it.You said you doubted he WASNT a victim did you not? Or did I mis-interpret what you said.
I think Obama should address this with an executive order. to me this is more pressing than gun control. I think he should make an executive order that states any person representing themselves as a journalist for a media outlet online, must abide by all rules and regulations of that media outlet throughout all forms of media representation. Whether its' in print, online, or on tv, they should have their word held and scrutinized to the same journalist integrity standards.... but I'm not even sure those are there anymore.This.
It's easier for these people in the media to be the one to say "First" on Twitter rather than to hit the bricks and do some journalism.
The shooting in CT is a prime example on terrible ethics in the journalism world.
No kidding, I know someone who used to teach there and she is disgusted at the whole university for just this shit. You try to tell this stuff to a fan and they don't believe it. They think it's just a hate and smear campaign because of jealousy of ND and how much people hate them... no it's not. We hate them so much because of this type of thing. And the fans that thing this way.Perhaps this story should be discussed a bit more.

Oh I know, I've been to enough games to know how it works... that's why it's so much fun to tailgate there in someone else's yard. The word entitlement is perfect for the culture that surround these type of schools.
My wife's stepfather is a county police officer that works ND games as a side gig. He's pissed off the university in the past by arresting people on the campus due to varying offenses. ND has stated multiple times NOT to arrest anyone. They don't want that stat on their record-- that's why you'll never see the Notre Dame police do anything (Notre Dame is their own zoned city).
If you get too drunk, they will pick you up and take you to a big holding tank on campus until you sober up, or someone can escort you off campus (one of my friends was lucky enough to be held there). You will hardly ever see someone arrested for public intoxication. Walk across Angela/Edison road and SBPD will escort you into their welcome van.
I get what you're saying, but talking about how South Bend and its news outlets are on the teat of ND is far more compelling to me than a dude that has Tinkerbell as a hot date.
It's just sad that a fake dead girl will probably cast a shadow on the number of issues going on in that community-- like real dead people, and the problems of violence stemming from the community.
The following day, Dec. 8, in a session shortly before the Heisman ceremony, brought a question about what charity work Te'o had done in the past year.
"I worked with Relay for Life stuff," Te'o said. "I really got hit with cancer. I don't like cancer at all. I lost both my grandparents and my girlfriend to cancer. I've really tried to go to children's hospitals and see children. I got that opportunity in Houston, too, to go see those kids and spend time with them."
Why Te'o chose to maintain the girlfriend-dying-of-cancer story that day, perhaps less than 48 hours after getting rocked by the reappearance of Lennay Kekua, is among the many questions left unanswered here. Was he embarrassed? Was he unable to compute what was occurring? Was he complicit in the scam and continuing the lie?
Only Te'o can answer, and that may not be enough still.
NCAA loves to throw around the lack of institutional control penalties, but ND is untouchable for some reason. It's honestly, it's because they cover most of it up much better. A lot of this stuff unfortunately happens everywhere, only most of the time it's a big deal.
Nah, ND would blame it on ESPN...The NCAA will not bite the hand that feeds them.
The ND/Alabama game probably generated truckloads of revenue. The only way I see ND getting hurt would be Digger Phelps and Lou Holtz carpet bombing daycares-- then maybe, just maybe there might be a fine. Maybe Austin Carr can fly the plane.
This.

The new out of no where rantings that I am hearing from fans is that he is actually *** and it's an elaborate hoax to keep it secret.... hahahah oh my. I'll hold to my USC theory. It will all eventually point to USC and they will be blamed.
