Fourth line center. Good PKer. Terrible at faceoffs. Restricted free agent. At least 2? I would have been pissed.

I could see him moving up to the 3rd line center...getting more 5 on 5 time...and Shaw going to Wing.

Can have both Shaw and Kruger taking draws on that line...depending on RH/LH need

Saad-Kruger-Shaw as the 3rd line starting the season

With the way salaries have been ballooning, I wouldn't have been surprised.

Only if Shaw replaces Kruger on the 4th line and Zues goes to 2nd line as he has done occasionally, Now if Pirri is slotted out of training camp as the 2nd line center it is likely Kruger will be in the running to replace Bolland on the 3rd line, that is of course provided Shaw or McNeil (who would surprise everyone if he kicks ass in training camp and makes the team ) aren't slotted as the 3rd line center. Which would then put Zues centering the 4th line, but don't forget the possibility of someone becoming a healthy scratch. That is all obviously subject to change depending on how Q is feeling at the time his Magnificent Line Generating vibes are flowing.

I don't see McNeill getting much of a shot out of training camp (unless he really blows away everyone). He's making a million+ on his entry level deal. Think the Hawks would rather him play top 6 minutes in Rockford than be a 3rd line center in the NHL.

I think Kruger has more offensive potential than people are giving him credit for. If being a great PKer is your only calling, he wouldn't be in the NHL. He's shown glimpses in the past of having some offensive game (C for Kane and Sharp during the season for a few games). Think this is going to be a breakout season for him.

That's the third line my wife and I came up with

Bickell-Toews-Kane

Sharp-Pirri-Hossa

Saad-Kruger-Shaw

Bollig-Handzeus-Beach

(those were my suggestions, she wanted to put Sharp at second line center with Saad as the winger, putting Morin on the third. which wouldn't be bad either)

from what I've seen of them in juniors, McNeill is nowhere near ready. Danault is a better center at this point. McNeill still seams lazy IMO
