1. We aren't in 1998 or 2003 any more. Also, getting a crowd in the post-season doesn't net you nearly the revenue to even break even with their current budget.

2. You took my post out of context. I'm talking about since the City of Miami went on it's sports spending spree. Not prior to that.

3. That's speculation.

1. But it's speculation on your part on what their attendance will be. History tells us that if they actually ARE a good team, their attendance is pretty good.

2. Picking and choosing when you can say a city has won championships? Wow, and it's not like the Heat winning the championship was 20+ years ago, it happened a short while ago.

3. True, but wouldn't it suck if it happened, which looks to be likely?

That is fine and all, but I am pretty sure all of the Marlins are here legally.

True that, but what about their fan base?

I just don't like Miami and with what happened with the heat, I'm not a fan of the city that thinks they can buy championships with all of their sports franchises.

My point was that if Mark had to go somewhere, Miami or the Yankees would be my least liked destinations. That's all I was saying.

I can understand the reasons to not like Miami. I just thought it was a bit silly to write that you disliked a place because a large number of people from one ethnic group lives there.

Bums me out some, even though I was kinda thinking it might have been good to try to flip him last season.

So glad we're stuck with that Peavy contract.

All hail Kenny.

When they are illegally in this country, I have no problem stating that opinion.

So your contention is that the entire latino population of Miami is here illegally? Look I wouldn't have pressed you on it if you had said that to begin with but you didn't. Your statement wasw that an entire group of people presumably different from your own is why you don't like a place. That was an opinion I really hoped wasn't shared by anyone in the 21st century.

That was sort of unexpected, but not really. Still amused that the Marlins have random money lying around.

Loria has to spend it quickly before the SEC freezes all their accounts after their investigation.

My favorite teams

  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets

I'd guess Peavy. Since we have 2 lefties, for now, Robin will probably go R-L-R-L-R, so Peavy probably gets the nod.

Sad to see em go, but can't blame em for takin the $$$. What more can you ask for; got your old manager who loves you, a new stadium, sunny weather outside.

Too bad Miami is full of sun brain fried ****** bags that don't show up to games.

This was not unexpected to me. I would've liked to have seen him finish his career with the Sox, but Kenny and Jerry don't like to sign pitchers to big money contracts.
