I believe Jay Rodgers contract ran out after 2020, I would assume several others did as well. If he was under contract and Bears wanted to keep him, they could’ve blocked the move since it was lateral.

That's not the point. If we fired Nagy it's likely the new HC shitcans all of Nagy's assistants and that's perfectly understandable.

What's happening now is despite retaining Nagy and Pace, Nagy's assistant are jumping shit because they see the writing on the wall for this regime.
