Yeah, but he's been one for a long while now. He's really not needed in Boston, which is why a pick or a prospect will do it.
Stuart is a scratch tonight
The Chicago Blackhawks are interested in Boston Bruins defenseman Mark Stuart, according to a league source.
Stuart, 26, has a goal and four assists with a plus-8 rating and would fill a role that Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman recently said they needed to upgrade.
"We're trying to find a defenseman that can be a penalty-killing type," Bowman said last Friday. "Right now, we're using our top guys a lot.
"In a perfect world we could get a guy to come in and do that."
Stuart has a salary cap figure of $1.675 million, and it's believed the Blackhawks would have to alleviate some payroll before adding him.
CSNNE.com first reported that the Bruins are discussing sending Stuart to the Blackhawks.
Sources also indicate the Blackhawks have been looking at defensemen Steve Montador of the Buffalo Sabres, Ladislav Smid of the Edmonton Oilers and Matt Hunwick of the Colorado Avalanche.

Hes been getting playing time though, Probably to showcase him
Stuart traded to Atlanta to clear pace for Kaberle.
Kaberle traded to Boston
So I guess Stuart could still become a Hawk but its unlikely.
Good move by Burke. I cant recall division rivals trading with each other as much as Toronto and Boston have been for the last few years.
Not only does Boston acquire Kaberle, but also probably improves their 1st rounder (through TO's loss of Kaberle).
Ya, it could and probably will but the leafs have been playing well lately. Gonna be tough to keep it up now that Beauchemin and Kaberle are gone...
