While much of the Chicago Bears' offseason focus at wide receiver is centered on first-round pick Kevin White, Alshon Jeffery and free-agent pickup Eddie Royal, third-year wideout Marquess Wilson remains in the mix.
Wilson appeared destined for a large role on offense last year until he broke his collarbone in training camp extending to catch a deep ball. Placed on injured reserve with the designation to return until Nov. 11, Wilson played in the final seven games of the regular season. He caught 17 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown.
All the offseason activity at receiver seemed to push Wilson down the Bears' depth chart, but the 2013 seventh-round draft choice is receiving opportunities to impress the coaching staff at OTAs.
Wilson -- 6-foot-4 -- is another tall target for quarterback Jay Cutler, who has preferred throwing the football to bigger wide receivers throughout his entire career.
