The thing is that the Bulls DO have options. All these assets give them that. Don't forget the Bulls propensity to use a 2nd on another Euro player for the future. Very well be why the Bulls liked all those 2nds, imo. They could trade all their early picks and/or a player, yet still use the 2nd's to draft for the future. To me, I see the Bulls looking to bring in Mirotic, draft 1 great player from the draft, and signing/trading for 1 great FA.
I believe we are on the same page. I think you are spot on with your remark of "To me, I see the Bulls looking to bring in Mirotic, draft 1 great player from the draft, and signing/trading for 1 great FA."
Furthermore, I'm not saying Mirotic will be a HOF'er. But what I am saying is that, the Bulls have owned his NBA rights for - I believe - going on 3 years, so it's probably safe to say that they have scouted him enough to know what they have in him. If they believe they can bring him over and contribute within a team capacity, then certainly they have had enough discussions with Tibs to be able to make that assumption.
So again, if the last sentence in your post is their actual plan, then I am on board.
