Just pointing out Omeletpants is great at cheap insults... but actually demonstrating football knowledge? Not so much.
Thanks for pointing out water is wet.

For those whining about an OC potentially leaving for HC. Just hire Mike McDaniel. Never called plays before so probably will be around for 2-3 years and when he leaves you can get 2 third round draft picks for developing a minority coach. If you can't get him then maybe try and pry Eric B from the Chiefs which may help him get under Reid's shadow and prove he is HC material.
Or the Bears could’ve just hired Bienemy as their head coach.

Instead, they’re going to entrust their young QB’s development to…who exactly?

My favorite part about the hire is that Special person meatball Bears fans calling into sports radio won't be able to pronounce it.
Well, they struggled with Fox, too.

Interesting situation in Indianapolis—Either safeties coach Alan Williams or LBs coach Dave Borgonzi could go to Chicago with new Bears coach Matt Eberflus. Or maybe both, depending on how things shake out. But ... Williams is also in the mix to be the Colts' new DC.

I don't have the time to do it but I'm sure someone will do the research at some point, but I'd be curious to see how Eberflus's defense would rank if you took out playing games against Houston, Jacksonville and Tennessee for 6 games each season. 2 of the 3 worst offenses this past season were Houston and Jacksonville while Tennessee was middle of the pack in points per game after the injuries. The year before, Jacksonville was horrible, Houston was meh after firing their coach 4 games into the season and Tennessee had a pretty good offense.

is this your new tactic? save yourself from being embarrassed by saying nothing?

I understand it. I get it. It’s okay. You’re naive and sold yourself on this idea that the only chance the Bears have is to hire an offensive coach. And now that that didn’t happen you’ve chosen to run with some ridiculously stupid “who were his mentors?” argument as a way to knock the hire. Step away from the keyboard and compose yourself. Everything will be okay. It’s about the man. Not what side of the ball he comes from.

Eberflus might suck. But it won’t be because he coaches defense and not offense.

Never said that. I did prefer an offensive HC but never said the only chance is that. (Stuff like this is why I don't bother replying to you much)

And anyone who doesn't think who you learn from matters.... well that tells me a lot about that person.

And you may not have noticed this.... but with 25,000+ posts here I have consistently discussed Bears football with almost everyone here FOR YEARS. You're just not that interesting.
