This feels political, like Wentz doesn't want to live in a democratic city.

It’s common knowledge actually among Eagles fans, all you have to do is read their forums.

They can’t wait till this scrub is off their roster
Hi @Tillman33 ,

It is nice to meet you.

I am a on/off poster here, but many know I'm a huge fan of the Eagles and provide an objective perspective on many threads. Specific to the Eagles I pay close attention to local Philly media and follow the team closely.

I've seen every game of Carson's career at least once.

Specific to your comments:

RE: Eagles forums - They are what a forum is. People having an avenue to rant in an anonymous way. I agree that it's a good idea of what some fans think, but far from the general opinion. Just to compare, it would be like saying Parlor is the voice of the Republican party. It's really just one smaller fraction's thoughts of a larger group.

RE: Can't wait till he's off the roster - Eagles fans really liked him until the 2020 season, then he played poorly. They were calling for the benching beforehand, but that was because of poor play, not concussion balls. Recently they do want him off the team, but that's the way a blue collar city reacts when they hear reports that their franchise QB wants out of the city. To that city Philadelphia football is not a business, it's a passionate relationship. Essentially Wentz served them divorce papers, so they are understandably upset.

Just to focus on the concussion balls for a second he had Zach Ertz set the TE receiving record catching many balls over the middle. No concussion there. They have had success from the slot while he's been the QB (Agholor, Tate and recently Greg Ward JR) with no notable concussions. Actually thinking of any of their players that catch balls from Wentz can you let me know who's constantly had concussions or had repeated 'concussion ball' type situations?

I honestly think you wanted to provide a 'hot new take' that's just not true. Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong. I'm currently correcting you because I do feel you are wrong.

“The Eagles will be without rookie wide receiver Jalen Reagor, who left Sunday night's matchup with a head injury. Reagor hauled in one-target for 15-yards on the night and he'll finish his rookie season with 31 catches for 396-yards and 1 touchdown.”

That’s just one example, it’s happened several times over the course of his career

I don’t think it’s a hot take to say they (majority of Eagles fans) want to be shot of a QB who had one of the 10 worst seasons EVER for a QB in NFL history.. a guy who wasn’t even a D1 player and is regressing by the day with injuries poor play and poor attitude

But I digress, you are an Eagles fan and I’m not and I know you have more info/perspective than I do.

I just don’t want a QB that comes with character concerns, after watching Cutler for so many years

Are you trying to be a clown?

That injury was from a week 17 against Washington. You know, the game that Wentz was not dressed and it was a pass from Jalen Hurts.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about?

Haha take it easy man, mistakes happen, it’s not that serious. I get it, you love Wentz. I don’t. Nobody that wants their favorite team to win a championship would. Anyways, why can’t you talk your shit on Eagles forums or have they already disowned you?

Just to be clear:

- You stated something that isn't true
- I'll called you out on it
- You randomly googled and referenced something that did nothing to prove your point
- After realizing you were wrong you asked me to 'take it easy' and that (your) 'mistakes happen'?

And I don't love Wentz. If you want my honest thoughts on all things Wentz check out this thread: Bring your Wentz questions

True, I was wrong but the extra stuff was unnecessary. I apologize I was wrong but the reaction wasn’t warranted. Why can’t we all be nice :/

No QB that has been injured would look at us and gleefully rejoice..."yes! yes! them...the bears, put me where I can't do my job and all will blame me!!"

Thats what he just had.

The local Chicago hospitals will see an uptick in concussion patients, Wentz throws so many Hospital passes. And then he’ll stand over your corpse and blame you for dropping it.

Wentz feels more to me like Tom Brady would probably be received in a different era. He's more Brady than Cutler, but without the super bowls, in a racially and politically charged climate...his views and beliefs are inappropriate for his work place. Brady too but his clout completely overshadows his character flaws and he was able to mature apart from that type of scrutiny and focus.

I don't view him like Cutler at all...Wentz would sell his soul to win and that is what he is doing controlling this situation as best he can. It appears the Eagles and Wentz will string the Bears as far as they can with the hope of eventually getting him to Indy for the benefit of all parties.

I think Jacksonville where Tebow should have played is a fairly solid fit for both football and personal life. They would be better off to execute several trade downs so they can offer a package including a late first, and/or that early second. Then go with Wentz instead of Fields plus be able to round out that team with the extra picks.

Brady’s pocket presence is so next level though. When I watch Wentz play at least 50% of sacks are his own fault, holding onto the ball or thinking he’s more mobile than he is and getting caught from behind. I do agree that he has some potential still because of his age and previous success, but last year was a real eye opener. He’s going to have to work on his ability in the pocket, not just throwing but also pocket presence.

This is just dumb. I'm pretty sure there are 10 seasons worse in the history of the league

72.8 rating is not in the top 10 worst seasons in the league

“Wentz finished with -780 passing DYAR, worst in the league and one of the 10 worst seasons in DVOA history”.

“Wentz’s -35.9% DVOA was the fifth-worst in history among players with at least 400 pass attempts; we have rarely seen a passer play this poorly in such a large sample size.”

Not sure what is true and what is smoke when it comes to rumors, but there is a prevailing rumor out there that the Bears are more interested in Wentz than Wentz is with the Bears. It seems he prefers the Colts, who are not offering a ton for his services.

March 15th, I believe, is when things start to get serious with free agency and player movement.
Wentz might be more interested in going to Indy. But if he comes here, that’s not going to matter. I see some on this forum acting like he won’t care to play good if he comes here. His next contract will hang on how he performs, so he’s going to give it everything he’s got...

I think a lot of factors would influence his impact aside from his own personal desire. Can he get along with Nagy after not getting along with Pederson? Can he stay healthy? Will this Oline protect him? Can he handle the way the media would treat him in Chicago after bad games which would be similar to Philly?

I think he will “care” to be good, I just don’t think he will be very good. Just my opinion. He is more of the same old, same old with this organization. The guy wasn’t even a D1 player coming off one of the worst seasons ever for a QB. I apologize if I think the Bears can do better than that. Might as well get Jimmy G and call it a day and save the first rounder if they want someone like that.
