He’s a smart guy….but is he a football guy? Guess we’ll find out

"The 40-year-old Adofo-Mensah has economics degrees from Princeton and Stanford and worked as a Wall Street trader before entering the NFL in 2013 with San Francisco in research and development."

Probably doesn't know much about football but at least he's smart.
No, he's "super, super bright."

He is a real long shot IMO and I think the Vikings reached.

He was in a very small role with SF for a few years and then just recently got a higher exec job with the Browns.. who are far from a quality organization.

Unproven and inexperienced is a questionable hire.
Wrong. The Browns are a high quality organization with an amazing roster, loaded with talent everywhere. The only exception, and it is a big one, is QB, but that's the only miss. If they had even average QB play they'd be playing this coming weekend.

I don't think there is a team in the NFL called the Queens unless I missed an expansion franchise?

I think it's supposed to be some fifth grade level insult against the Minnesota Vikings. It completely backfires for me because now I just associate them with the GOAT rock band and that's kinda awesome.

Meanwhile I am stuck with the Bears who are mostly associated with chunky hairy gay men that make my Twitter searching a little less awesome.

(not that there is anything wrong with that)

They lost Paton last year too, so it will be interesting to see how Mensah restructures the personnel dept.

Wrong. The Browns are a high quality organization with an amazing roster.

56-104 over the last 10 seasons. Never finished above 3rd in their division during that time.

I am sorry but that may have been one of the worst posts of all time on this board.. and that says alot.

This is a boom or bust hire, it will be interesting, I saw that Vikings signed Mesah to a 4 year 12 million contract, if anyone have the contract details for Poles, please post it, I am curious to see if Bears offered more, the same, or less for Poles

I think it's a good fit for the Vikes. They're in a bit of a tigher spot with the money tied up into their players so they're gonna need some analytic voodoo(Although all team's are using analytics so whatever). Think it worked out for both teams.
