Un fucking real send by the third base coach. Barney just hit the bag when Byrd had the ball. One of the worst sends I have ever seen.

you've not been watching the Cubs long, have you

heard the call on radio, before the hit they were just saying how deep byrd was playing in right and how his arm wasnt strong and barney had good speed, then i hear heres the throw he out at the plate..lol

first thing moreland said was only reason they got him so easily was because barney went back to second cause the ball was hit on a line, and byrd charged ball aggresively..

first thought i had was what was 3rd base coach looking at and thinking if RFer charged hard on a liner and baserunner first step was back to 2nd..
dont care how weak the arm is, you have to hold the runner up especially late in game and its the tying run with less then 2 out and your 2 best hitters coming up.

should of been 1st n 3rd there with 1 out and castro and rizzo with a chance to tie game..

Jackson was looking pretty decent and looks to be improving.

Not surprised they lost. Harvey is the fav to win the CY Young.

Feldman has looked pretty good again today. And hey, that Rizzo guy, he might just pan out to be something.

I wouldnt say he looked real good. He got away with a lot of jams. Im not sure if its good pitching or if the Mets suck at hitting. He has missed a lot of his spots. He has looked much better in previous starts.

Officially taking back every bad thing I've said about Feldman. Talk about a 180

I dont mean he has been bad or anything. I just think he got away with a decent amount of pitches today. But, thats the game. He will be good one day and run into bad luck. It evens out. He has been quite a suprise this year. I dont see him on this team come August.

Nope. IF he continues to pitch the way that is has been, he will be an easy flip to a contender with a need for a starter. Hopefully they can get a Malholm-like return for him. Schierholtz has been playing fairly well so far too, and might be in the same boat.

They suck though X...just look at every other thread in this forum. :cubstroll:

lol. I ignore a lot of the garbage in most of these forums. It takes practice to sort out the good posts from the bad posts. I don't need every poster to agree w/ me on everything, just someone who's willing to defend an argument rather than make blanket statements w/ no merit. I've never really complained about the people who bash Theo when they back their stuff up...but when someone repeats "theo sucks." in every single thread they post in -- meh...it's looked over.

It is just nice to come into a IST and actually have people talking about what is happening on the field. This team has been better lately, which is good news for me since I am going to a game in a few weeks. Will be awesome to see a team actually playing well. I think I just jinxed myself...

Franko- you just said they don't suck by going 5-2. But on the flip you just said they will be sellers.....not getting your logic here. Think of it. 5-2 put them at 18-24. Keeping that pace: 14 games they can be at .500. So logically at .500 does that make them sellers?

I don't know that they will be able to keep up a .500 pace for the year. As a fan, I would love for them to, but I just don't see it. Realistically, they should be .500 right now if not for the bullpen struggling at the start of the year. Who knows, I could be completely wrong, and they might not be sellers come the deadline. I would absolutely love that for many reasons.

I would hope that you noted the sarcasm that was meant in my post about them sucking. Thus the :cubstroll:

Even if they become contender for playoffs. I would still like them to trade off Feldman. No reason for him to be on this team and we can replace him.

Disagree with that S. that dude has been pitching his ass off after he got control of his Cutter. I'm the guy who thought he was a piece of crap in March and April. I'll disagree with the whole notion of sell because of X justification. The only justification that matters is scoreboard. If you suck you sell if you rock you add. Right now the staff has been pretty amazing. Even Jax and Shark are getting it together. Pit and Cin are going to be interesting to watch. Garza leading off the trip and all. Shoot with the way this staff has been looking this year overall I honestly can say they have a chance of winning if the O can generate 3 or more runs. So doesn't make sense to add then? On the pen. It is looking much better and Villenueva should be hitting it. I'm feeling pretty good going into the summer to be perfectly honest.

No this one stings a ton. But it is just one game. Hopefully they keep playing well against the Buccos and getting Garza back should provide a boost.
