Just posted this on Twitter. As much as I LOVE the Hawks, it just doesn't seem right to me. Not the place for it.

hmmmmm. The fun side (frosted side) of me thinks it is great. The serious side (whole wheat side) thinks it's overkill and sort of out of place. But then the frosted side says.. "Screw off Whole Wheat. Lighten up a little it's just in the name of fun, it's not all about pooping healthy". Then the Whole wheet side says " Listen here Frosty Mcgee. Sugar gives you Diabetes".



Usually at this point the doctors gives me an injection.

I"m good with it. Don't want to nit pick, but the helmet should be black since the jersey is red.

edit: i also think the jersey should have his name or be blank, don't see MJ wearing anybody's jersey.

Believe me Toews trumps Jordan in my book any day, but get the **** out of here. Jordan is considered one of the best athletes to ever walk the earth, won more championships for our city than and other team combined in the last 70 years, and just because we've made the championship were gonna put our captains jersey on his statue? I'm sure even Toews doesn't agree with it. How about we let our players play the god damn mother fucking game.



Furthermore, what the **** is the point of putting the jersey on Jordans statue? Sure at the art institute its away from the stadium, the museum gets a lot of other traffic. Now anyone at the UC will be well aware the Hawks play their and that their playing for the cup? From this crew at the top running the Hawks now all I see nothing else but flaunting what we have yet to accomplish, arrogance by putting it on there, and everything I hate into one, pompous bastards.

(Thats assuming McD's behind it all, cause I technically don't know, but I do know he'd be first to take credit if their was good press about it.)

O and to add because I saw the picture after I posted originally, really, a helmet too, doesn't the jersey get the job done, not only that but its the wrong fucking color, come on. And then skates too, Jordan isn't wearing Bauers in that statue you pricks.

I love Jordan, but do you really think he cares? Hell, wasn't he at a Hawks playoff game last year WEARING a Hawks jersey?



The bottom line is this is the ultimate knife to the heart of any douchebag (usually happens to be a diehard NBA fan) in this town that still thinks the Hawks are irrelevant. Believe me, those people still exist. Because of that, I think its hysterical.



Personally I don't care one way or the other.

I see no problem with it.

If you don't have a problem with it being on the Picasso or the Lion, then you should have no problem with it being on the Jordan statue. Those are more of an icon to the city than the Jordan statue, IMO.

Eh, the Lion and Picasso don't really mean much to me, never been too much into art. Guess I'm selfish, but being huge on sports, and Jordan being just about the only winner we've ever had it doesn't belong there.

i can see this being the case very easily.



i dont give a shit about basketball, or the desecration of the jordan statue....i just think this is kind of stupid, to put a representation of a living human being in clothing. why dont they put jerseys on the statues in grant park over michican ave?

I also disagree :lol: . If the Bulls got to the championship and put Bulls jerseys of Noah, Rose, Miller over the Hawks statue of Bobby Hull, Mikita etc. this place would be up for grabs. As would I, thats one of the reasons I don't like it.
