I haven't posted in this thread yet, but you just changed my thinking. I would definitely be fuming if a Bulls jersey was put on a Hawk statue.

I think the outcry some articles had is an exaggeration so people can care about this non-issue. I hope some one puts the jersey on the Banks and Fisk statues.



As for the success of the Bulls or any other franchise-- who cares if some one would drape the statue across the street with "another team." Having pride and uniting as one city is a good thing.

I pretty much agree with you Paul. This is a none issue.



And frankly I don't understand why Toews opinion on this would matter. I highly doubt he would care either to be honest and probably thinks its pretty fun. Uhmmmmm shouldn't the guy with the basketball be the one who opinion would be more interesting? I bet the Jordan man would also see it as a non issue and probably finds it pretty fun.



Lets not forget that pro sports also means fun guys. Sure its a business and we all take it pretty seriously some times. Come the end of the day though it is just entertainment. Damn frustrating and hart cutting entertainment sometimes though.



But this is pretty entertaining. I like when cities start decorating monuments etc with sports equipment. I think it's pretty fun. I don't think it jinxes teams I don't think it gets into players heads. It is what it is..harmless fun (and marketing of course lol).
