I hate the Kinect, I hate the Move, and I hate the Wii.

Why? Do you not want consoles to try new things? Do you not want video games to evolve? No one is saying you have to play those things. There is no reason for video game makers to not do these things.

I own a Kinect and a Wii. Do they get used a lot? No, but that doesn't mean I don't like that I own them. They are both masterful pieces of technology and if anything are helping those systems by making even more profits and giving them more money. The Kinect is very rough still, but is a beautiful piece of equipment and IMO is the most revolutionary piece of equipment to happen to the video game industry in a very very long time.

Yakuza 3 has the same exact Metacritic score as Fable 3. 80/100. Shows how weak the 360 exclusives are when one of their top games is equal to a maybe top 20 PS3 game. Just because you didn't like them, doesn't mean they weren't a success. I hated GTA4, but it was a success.
2010 360 exclusives I didn't mention:
Tropico 3
Risen
Espgaluda II Black Label
Supreme Commander 2
Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper
Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi EXTRA
DeathSmiles IIX
Naval Assault: The Killing Tide
Monster Hunter Frontier
DeathSmiles
Ninety-Nine Nights II
MorphX
That's it. Those are some real appealing games right there. :nope:

- Yet failed to mention them :) Fable 3 blows just as hard as Fable 2. Most of those PS3 exclusives fall in the same boat. I just knew you didn't include a decent % of them in the first post.

This is the only thing you'll find. From March 14th: "Reports suggests that as many as 12,000 PS3s and 5,600 Xbox 360 consoles were swept away by the tsunami. Sony also had to shut down six factories in Fukushima and Miyazaki after the tremore hit Japan. These factories prodcued Blu-ray discs and other products, including PS3s. Sony is still accessing the damage done to these factories."
I've been googling every combination of words to find something and the only things you'll find are people talking about digital cameras and Sony Ericsson. Sony even came out and said the NGP will arrive on schedule. And a lot of their stuff isn't even manufactured in Japan. China makes quite a bit of PS3's/other Sony products. So they only had to shut down just 6 factories. If they were really in danger, you'd see articles all over Kotaku.com about it. There's nothing.

- I know there has been very little news coming from the region. I highly doubt video game development and manufacturing is high on the Japanese media's mind. If there is any setbacks to Sony, the news of that won't be coming out for awhile. It has to have some effect on the company, though, and I doubt it will be a positive one.

:obama:Best series on either console (Game of the Year awards speak for themselves)

- I'm not going to argue with you about a games worth based off of imaginary awards won by Spike TV or a game informer magazine, or even game sales, because the Wii would have to enter the conversation in a major way. I'm glad you are looking forward to Uncharted 3. Me? I will wait until it's in the $20 range so I can beat it in 10 hours and be done with it.

Again, you don't need both consoles. Majority of the games are on both. If you want FPS's and a social console, get a 360. If you want everything else, get a PS3. Has nothing to do with posting on a message board either. Not sure what you mean by that.

- Once again, agree to disagree. Either system costs the price of 2 full games. If you consider yourself a gamer, you should have both systems.

You make it sound like once this generation is over the next Sony console will be shit. Definitely won't be the case. Sony knows how not to start off shitty since they've learned from their mistakes with the PS3 launch. Rumors suggest they're keeping the same Cell processor so developers will be used to developing for it. And of course, they have their massive library of first party titles and developers that will never disappear. Even second party developers that makes franchises that are owned by Sony.

- If that is what you are getting from my post, then I must not be delivering my message well. First of all, this generation of consoles still has life left in it, no doubt about it. I'm merely saying that those that are ripping on the 360 this year will probably be putting their foot in their respective mouths in the future. Microsoft is putting stock in developing their future product and not worrying about exclusives at the moment

Regardless there is still no reason own both IMO. Each system has games worth playing. I have a 360, and have no real reason to buy a PS3. Could I buy one? Sure. I could buy one today and it wouldn't really affect my life I just don't see a reason to.

This. In this generation, one of the two consoles is good enough. I could go out and buy a cheap refurbished 360 from Gamestop, I just think that $100+ could go towards something better.

We can pretty much agree to disagree about everything. That's what I love about this forum. All the differing opinions.

My last point is the above. Did you even play the Uncharted 2 multiplayer? It was very underrated and a ton of people played it. It's still going today.

And if you think Spike and Game Informers awards are imaginary, then what about the Oscars of video game awards, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences? They gave Uncharted 2 10 different awards, including Game of the Year.

Meh ME2 won quite a few GOTY's as well, and I would still consider it an exclusive when talking about 2010.

Yes, I played the multiplayer. Then I stopped. Socom 3 multiplayer is still going too, doesn't make it a great game.

No the single player makes it a great game. I mentioned the multiplayer because you seem to think there's no replayability. There is tons of replayability with the multiplayer (which is good according to everyone but you), and the single player with the treasures you collect, the different trophies you get for using different weapons, the costumes and skins you unlock, the weapons you unlock. I played through it 4 times and still haven't platinum'd it. For a single player game with no alternate endings, there's quite a bit of replayability. You're the only person I've ever encountered that doesn't think Uncharted 2 is a great game. Only person other than xbox fan boys, that is.

Ive always thought the 360 exclusive titles for the most part are all the same.. I do have all three systems.

Hence the reason why my xbox just collects dust.

If something different means going into motion gaming, then no, I don't want them doing anything different. Of course that's not going to happen, but I don't have to like it personally. With the popularity of those things, we may very well see the next generation consoles do away with controls, and that doesn't sit well with me.

I don't want to work 8-12 hours a day and then come home to jump around to play video games, especially since I'm not getting any younger.

It's all personal preference. You like the PS3 better? Good. You like the 360 better? Good. It's like Sox/Cubs. Personal preference.
