Post some ideas and/or possibilities here.

Mine:

James Harden & Kendrick Perkins for Joakim Noah & Taj Gibson

I think this trade works for both teams. OKC is likely not going to be able to afford to give Harden an extension. Front-court depth is what they've been looking for to complement their perimeter offense:

Noah. Collison.
Ibaka. Taj.
Durant. Sefolosha(swingman).
Westbrook(combo-guard).
Maynor.

While the Bulls would have:
Perkins. (1yr cheap guy).
Boozer. (Mirotic in a couple years).
Deng. (rookie contract).
Harden. (1yr cheap guy). Hamilton(1yr left guaranteed).
Rose. Hinrich(combo-guard).

A little early for mid-season trade talks....but anything that would possibly send Boozer out would be fine. haha

Though, the only realistic thing with Boozer is that he would eventually be amnestied.

I love the idea of this thread, but the execution of these threads never work out. For 1 the trading mechanics in the NBA are hard to get a grasp of, for 2 the NBA Trade machine will get overused, and for 3 people for the most part make up really one sided trades...

Like Boozer for Love. "IDK BUT I TINK DEY WOULD TAKE BOOZER FOR HIS SCORING!"

Should we be talking about trades that could happen right now? It is obvious the Bulls aren't looking to make any moves before the season starts. Taj Gibson is honestly likely gone before the deadline because he is going to be a free agent next summer. Why not speculate on trades that include him?

Because you're doing it
a. Not knowing what the health of Gibson would be come February
b. Not knowing what the play of Gibson would be come February
c. Not knowing the needs of the team come February
d. Not knowing the needs of the team come February

For starters...

a) A trade can happen before February.
b) The whole purpose of a message board is to speculate about topics of this nature.

Noah and Gibson for Harden and Perkins would be great. Get rid of Noah's $$ and get back a solid shooter at the 2 and a guy Thibs would probably love. You don't have to dish out the cash for Gibson's new contract and you'd have money to go after two big men in FA hopefully when Boozer's contract is up as well.

Rose
Harden
Deng

Solid.

You talked about the deadline, I'm just pointing out that the deadline is in February (at, least has been before).

I just don't see the Thunder trading Harden. It seems their owner isn't afraid to go into the tax, and Harden is a guy worth going in the tax for IMO.

Noah and Gibson aren't.

Perkins has even played under Thibs (assistant) and won a title in Boston.

Only major issue with Perkins and Boozer would be lethargic, terrible pick and roll defense. Still can amnesty Boozer though.

True, and it's only an issue the Bulls would have to deal with for a year or two. The long-term benefits of the trade are worth it IMO.

The Thunder shed Perkins' salary and gain Noah (renting Gibson). Harden is honestly not needed since Maynor is coming back. Durant and Westbrook are great perimeter scorers.

Somebody's contract has to go in OKC and it's not going to be Durant or Westbrook. Harden is the odd man out. I just hope the Bulls' FO can capitalize on an opportunity if it presents itself.

It doesn't necessarily need to be Harden. If Gibson has to be traded then the Bulls should set their sights on trading him for a stellar SG. Maybe Houston is in the market to trade Kevin Martin or Sacramento is open to trading Tyreke Evans or Marcus Thornton.

With what they drafted, I don't think Houston is in a need for another big.

With more thinking, what does Gibson offer that Ibaka doesn't already provide?

I really wish if the offer was presented that the Bulls would take it, but I don't see the Bulls getting offered that.
