Bad analogy. Hawks have won since, and not many alive who would have actually witnessed the 30s Hawks.Maybe the Bulls dynasty would be a better analogy, but still not quite the same.

I get what Gus is saying. It's not a memory for him, and the crowning of some old jerks' asses can be annoying.

I believe that's why it's a perfect analogy, to be honest. If the Bears had won since 85, people wouldn't talk about the 85 Bears so much. The 90s Bulls present the same problem as the 80s Bears. Everyone wants to talk about Payton and Jordan because neither team has done shit since they were playing.

I was 3 years old when they won the Super Bowl. I have no connection to that team, and frankly, the way guys like Dan Hampton (drunk driver) and Mongo (general douchebaggery) are lauded over is pretty stupid.

My youngest son was born during the Super Bowl year. One of my prized photos is he with a punky qb headband on when he was three years old and had a Jimmy Mac jersey on. He still loves Jimmy Mac. You need to get over yourself.

**** Gus and his holier than thou bull shit. It annoys him or you? I give a shit. Gus just loves to be the my shit doesn't stink purveyor on this board. His act is old and he just wants sympathy or if you don't see things his way, that is your fault. If you like Dan Hampton or Mongo, then you might as well be a drunk driver or whatever it is that he called Mongo. Those two guys were great Bears players on the fucking field and no one is crowning their "old jerk's asses".
