Well if houff actually read it, none of them said Rose doesn't deserve it or wouldn't vote for him. They said it could go between him and Howard. Houffs bf LeClown wasnt even mentioned by Miamis own beat writer.

A lot of writers believe Howard deserves it, just as 6 WEEKS AGO, a lot of writers said Lebron was deserving, though he might not get it because of semantics, not because he didn't play like an MVP on the court. Man up and face the facts...

And a lot of writers said Rose deserves it during that period. Those are facts. Aren't there like 125+ voters or something like that? You get all excited because this article has some people that say it could very well be Howards award.

You should watch 1st and 10, you'll probably busts nuts over Skip Bayless's opinions(or facts according to you)

Nobody who has a vote is going to commit at this point. That would be like saying, "I don't care what happens in the next 3 weeks. My mind is made up. Don't confuse me with the facts."

What I read in that article is that Rose is the frontrunner, but it's not a done deal and Howard also has a shot. It also seems that most of the writers are going to vote based on which player is Most Valuable to his team, and not which is the best player.

... As it should be.

I don't agree with most of what Bayless says...I have my own beliefs, and I have stated that Rose is the frontrunner...you decide to bring up a thread from over a month ago because I guess that thread, hurt your feelings. Get over it, it was a month and a half ago. I hope you are not one of those that was all in for Lebron before he went to Miami, and now you crap on him....

Ric bucher has a vote, and he commented :D

Jake (Crown Point, IN)

Do you think Derrick Rose is the MVP of the 10-11 season and are you a voter
Ric Bucher (1:26 PM)

Yes and yes.
Nick

But something doug read really struck me. If rose doesn't win the mvp that's going to be a serious motivating factor for teh guy. He may not let it on with his humble exterior, but the guy is a competitive beast.

Sorry, i dont catch internet feelings. I bring up the thread because almost two months ago you told us to face the facts(facts meaning your opinion) that lebron was MVP. Well if LeBron was MVP or the front runner all those weeks ago. Then why cant you face the facts that Rose is the MVP with 12 games to go?

And yes i was all in for LeBron because it made complete sense but dont get it twisted, i never liked LeBron, never. But i'll glady take the leagues best player whether i hate him or not. Im about winning. I hate Rondo too but that never stopped me from agreeing with many of the things youve said about him in the pats. Im objective. But im facing the facts, Rose=MVP.

Well, I was never all in for lebron. I like my team beating his. I still think Rondo is a scrub and that Rondo vs. Rose debate is completely laughable now.

And Anytime is right. You told us to face the facts, then went on and spouted your useless opinion that lebron was the MVP. There's nothing to "get over", fact is, you put it out there. Fact: lebron isn't in the MVP race.

I have said continuously that Rose was frontrunner for MVP....including the very thread you unearthed that old Lebron MVP thread in....

Your facts/truths are ass backwards, anybody who watches basketball knows better, you should be the last person to lecture on that subject.

I decided to stick around and have fun poking at hou since it's so easy to get him to lose it.

I don't know why he lets me do it, but it's fun.

Rose is definitely the front runner, but it's not going to be a unanimous decision. I agree with SVG that Howard effects nearly every possession in a game. However, with Rose's improved D, I think the same can easily be said for him as well. That's not to say his D is all NBA, but Rose's offensive game is light years ahead of Howard which makes up that difference.

I love Dwight, but he is one of the most maddening players to watch. I don't understand how a player of his size & athleticism, and with a HOFer in Ewing as a mentor, has not developed any solid low post moves or even a decent shot or FT. If he ever can become a consistent, dominant offensive force, I will call him the best player in the league. Sorry LeQueen.

When did Ewing ever have a post game?

Howard spent last summer with Hakeem and has developed post moves and can shoot a hook shot over either shoulder now. His post game is not as smooth as Hakeem's, but whose is? That is why he is playing great basketball right now...

Ewing had a post game. He just had a really good jumpshot for a 7 footer and the 3 step across the lane move he did.

He could bang down there if he wanted to, he was huge.

Dwight benifits from having a Center to learn from who battle Hakeem and learning from the Dream himself.

I like Dwight's game.
