Doug is just hopping in a corner giving that "I'm open, I'm open" face.

LOL. Sometimes I think Thibs isn't to blame for his lack of playing time.

He did cut to the basket, but can you blame him? He got 1.5 minutes to do something. He's a shooter, he wants to shoot it. There's no reason for him to not get more minutes, imo. He should have come in with 5 minutes left instead of Thib's bringing in Rose for no reason.

It would be nice to see the guys try to get him a shot as well. To me, it's ridiculous that you can't get your 1st round pick at least one shot in a 20 point blowout!

The Bulls being carried by Nikola and Snell, I could get used to this. Hello, floor spacing.

Snell making a lot of people eat crow. The question is, can he build on this development, or is he simply reaching a peak, and other teams aren't fully accounting for him yet?

Time will tell. But I do love the two adjustments he has finally been able to make over the last month. Reading the cut off a pull-out, and committing to his opponent and not making these half-fouls that scream rookie mistake.

Oh, I know! Plus on one of the other threes, those absurdly bright lights in the UC were the reason for a miss. And then the fifth miss was from a dyslexic kid making his own t-shirt and it was one of the few times Derrick saw something that he can read. That's gotta be very distracting for him.

You forgot that Rose caused AIDS, 9/11, & Justin Bieber to happen.

Doug did get a shot up so...

Teams don't usually throw in the towel until like 3 minutes to go and I think there wasn't a stop in play until the 1:30 mark or so. Though really, with how Milwaukee was playing, Doug could've came in with 10 minutes left in the 4th and we probably would've been ok. One day Doug will have his moment!

I'm sorry I love Thibs but he's too damn stubborn for his own good some times. Rose didn't have it going tonight. The team was still up plenty with no signs of life from the Bucks. There was simply no reason to bring him back in that late in the 4th.

And what.. the.. ****.. Thibs.. NOT calling a time out when he at least 5 opportunities to do so to get his starters out of the game was ridiculous. He just waited another 2 MINUTES until there was a stoppage in play at the 1:30 mark! Seriously Thibs, WTF man!?

Exactly! Thib's is the epitome of taking one step forward and two steps back. He just doesn't get it.

And ISIS...and global warming

On the real though, Rose could not hit anything tonight. Should've seen it coming when he couldn't finish 3 and1 plays he normally finishes. Bad luck.

It's called a timeout. Thibs had 3 of them at that point. Put your fucking hands together in a fucking T and call and fucking TIMEOUT. I'm sick of Thibs pulling this bullshit in blowouts. You can call a timeout in a blow out to get your starters out Thibs. It's ok. The game isn't going to fall apart. Jesus!

I swear there were a few times where I thought Rose would just call the TO himself. But yeah, idk why Thibs didn't call it once Kidd sent in that garbage time lineup with Ennis. He seriously has no idea what to do when it's a blowout.

Yes! If only that guy could read. Those containers were clearly marked "DO NOT OPEN!"

Are you talking about the AIDS or Bieber? Both are equally horrifying when unleashed on the world.

After I said that, he did make a cut, but he hid on that cut. It wasn't a very good cut, nor did he read his man to make the adjustments to get open on that cut.

As you should know, my track record isn't a dougie hater. I want him to get his fair shake, develop, and work out. We're stuck with him after all. But he squanders a lot of opportunities in those 1-minute blocks. If Doug wants to prove himself, he needs to make the most out of those limited minutes. He hasn't, heck, he still takes long ass shots for no good reason, which doesn't help his case.

How much of his movement and decision making is due to other variables, such as lack of PT and god knows what is up with that knee injury. He's going to be a late bloomer, not an immediate impact guy like many of us expected him to be. So whatever happens this season for him doesn't mean a whole lot anyways.

Not just that, but how about the starters coming out and getting a hand from the crowd, and then putting some rookies in to get some minutes. It's feel good for everyone. Instead, Thib's is paranoid to definitely lose a big lead in a regular season game. :dunno:

Just heard an incredibly dumb ass post game question to Thibs.

"Derrick said he didn't do anything basketball related over the break. Do you think that's effected his game coming back?"

Are you fucking kidding me!? Who let this hack into the media room? Hey moron, outside of Pau & Jimmy, no one did anything basketball related over the break. Good grief.
:obama:

Edit: I think it was Sam Smith so no big surprise there.

Like I said, he doesn't get much time to do anything, so I'm not surprised he tries too hard sometimes. I didn't take you as a McD hater by any means, I'm just frustrated with Thib's.

Tony and Niko were throwing up some ugly shots early on, but look at them now. You've got to get minutes to get into any kind of rhythm as a player. Thib's had, imo, a perfect opportunity to bring in McD at the 5 minute mark.

Brooks and Niko were leading the team at that point. It's good for them to have that opportunity to lead as well. We will need that in the playoffs. But Thib's is afraid to not have any of his veterans in the game at the same time.

It's like he coaches in fear instead of breeding confidence in ALL his players. I just don't think this is good for the entire team. :dunno:

I think the media is going to have to face the reality that Rose is never going to be the old Rose. I've hoped for things to change, I don't see it. Have to get used to who he is now and move on...I believe the franchise is realizing that too. It is what it is.

I don't think the constant badgering of Rose helps at all. Rose is trying to come back to MVP level, after missing two years with two major knee surgeries, and everyone looks for ANYTHING to bash him with, and looks for controversy in everything he does. This question is a good example. :dunno:

The constant badgering doesn't hurt either. He shouldn't care one way or the other.

The question might have been directed more at Rose missing practice? Rose gets 30% of the total cap. If he isn't performing up to expectation, he is going to get badgered. Fact of life.

After his promising summer league performance, Doug was the first player off the bench to replace Dunleavy over the first few weeks of the season. Then his struggles on the defense end became more and more prevalent& offense, the opposing team was not giving him any space to create or shoot. After that, Thibs switched up his rotations & used Doug less & less. The knee surgery effectively ended his season. He's relegated to garbage time now.

Problem is, Thibs doesn't know what garbage time is. I think he thinks it's when the UC floor crew cleans up the stadium.
