Are you looking to do a game to game IGT or just a series thread?

Well I like this series match up. With Detroit going to the east and the wild joking the Hawks in the central next season I think this will be the start of a new rivalry. Both teams have some good players and it should be an interesting series.

If the Wild play the Hawks physical, it will be a 6 game series.

If the Wild think they can run and gun, the Hawks will sweep.

Its Crawfords time now. He killed the playoffs last year with sub par play and now has his moment to redeem himself. If Bolland is ready, I would much rather have him centering the third line and have Zeus play with Kane, as from watching the last couple games he was there, actually had chemistry with Kaner- as I pass the puck to him every chance he got.

The only way the Wild win this is if Backstrom stands on his head.

Aka Mike Smith, with the ***** part optional

Eh, I don't think Smith was that good so much as Crawford was just plain horrible last year.

I do give him all the credit in the world with his reenacting of the sniper shot in Golgo 13 on the NES when Shaw tapped him, tho.

No Heatley and Pominville is likely to be out from his concussion still. Wild were terrible towards the end of the season so I like the Blackhawks' chances in this one. Should be a fun series, I'll be at the game tomorrow night.

Crawford actually played pretty well in those games. He let in two unfortunate goals in OT. The Hawks had chances in both of those games to put the game away before it got to that point and didn't convert. Soft goals go in all the time. Ask Kaner about a certain goal that he (and all of us) will never forget.

This series goes five at most. Hawks have way too much talent for them not to beat the Wild, especially considering the injuries the Wild are dealing with.

Bolland and Emery out for Game 1. I almost want to say that Bolland being out is not a big deal. Not like he was going to go out and win a bunch of draws.

Id rather have Bolland on even dot than Shaw still.

I don't know that you will see Shaw at the dot. I think that you might see the four centers being Toews, Sharp, Handzus, and Kruger. At least I hope so. Or, you could see one of the Hogs on the fourth line center with Kruger on the second. We shall see.

Yeah, Pirri, Leblanc could be used. Not sure if they will be but there are other options. I just don't see Q splitting that line of 25-65-29 at least until they lose a lead

Fairly certain that LeBlanc is not eligible due to being signed after the deadline. Would be really nice to see Pirri out there though.

Correct on LeBlanc, which is why he is playing with USA now. I'm a Pirri fan, but for some reason he just hasn't gotten that chance with the Hawks, I'd be surprised if that chance happens in the playoffs.

I'm very doubtful we see him as guys like morin and Hayes would be inserted before him

Arousing pre-Series question I have: What does it mean for Q and the organization if we lose this series? Was the record start and Presidents Triphy enough to secure job security for Quenneville?
