Arousing pre-Series question I have: What does it mean for Q and the organization if we lose this series? Was the record start and Presidents Triphy enough to secure job security for Quenneville?

If it isn't, it should be.

36-7-5 with a goal differential of +53 shows they have the horses and the direction. But its the Stanley Cup playoffs and sometimes shit happens. It should not cause anyone in management to lose a job because some obscure goalie gets hot.

Crawford actually played pretty well in those games. He let in two unfortunate goals in OT. The Hawks had chances in both of those games to put the game away before it got to that point and didn't convert. Soft goals go in all the time. Ask Kaner about a certain goal that he (and all of us) will never forget.

Crawford averaged almost three goals a game that series. Hardly good numbers for a PO goalie. Now, you can blame Hossa almost getting killed, the Smith reenactment of a sniper shot, or Toews not being 100%, but most of last years blame is full on Crawford for his average play. Now, you can point a finger at Oduya for coughing up the puck countless times and Leddy being a pylon, that's fine. But Crawford took a huge chunk of the blame with those softies. Its unacceptable.

Crawford is the biggest concern. This team pretty much shored up every other problem with even the Zeus trade looking good atm. If you are getting last years Crawford this team isn't gonna make it past even these Wild, who are as mediocre as it gets. The fact Emery is out right now puts even more pressure on Craw considering I highly doubt Craw would be starting if he wasn't injured.

Nothing. Q isn't going anywhere unless the Hawks get swept. Bowman isn't going anywhere either.

McD runs this team, and unless or when he feels he can take either one of their places nobody is gonna go anywhere. The barn is filled every game, theres so much money coming in Rocky is almost at the stage where he is in the black. This team is clicking from a marketing standpoint and have the biggest selling jersey player on it. There isn't changes if they crap the bed. You will see a whole lot of excuses tho in the media.

I wonder if McD has made another commercial of him with the Cup yet? As kind of a premonition?

I don't know that you will see Shaw at the dot. I think that you might see the four centers being Toews, Sharp, Handzus, and Kruger. At least I hope so. Or, you could see one of the Hogs on the fourth line center with Kruger on the second. We shall see.

Sharp isn't playing center.

Shaw will be.

Yeah, Pirri, Leblanc could be used. Not sure if they will be but there are other options. I just don't see Q splitting that line of 25-65-29 at least until they lose a lead

Pirri for some strange reason isn't even an option. This teams needs a second line center and here you have a guy who just led the AHL in scoring and worked on his defense while on the Hogs and has nothing left to prove in the A.


Put Pirri between Hossa and Sharp and that line averages three goals a game themselves with the vision Pirri has.
