  1. Chicago Blackhawks
So did Michael.

Jordan always had at least one other hall of famer to make it to the finals. Lebron may very well ned with something like 11 NBA finals. Some of those by himself. If the Cavs win, I think LBJ replaces The Dream as the best champion every with the least talent around him.
Even Olajuwon had Drexler on that team, albeit an old one. All the same, old Drexler >>>>>>> anyone on this Cavs team that isn't injured. If Lebron wins it's hands down the most impressive win ever.

The 93-94 team did not have Drexler.

That team was:
Olajuwon
Thorpe
Horry
Maxwell
Kenny Smith
---
Mario Elie
Sam Cassell

And compare to this year Cavs post injury:
Mozgov
Thompson
LeBron
Shumpert
Delly
----
JR Smith

I actually argue this year Cavs is still better than the 1994 Rockets.

That was the year after...MY MEMORY FAILS AGAIN!

Looking at just names though I'd take quite a few of those guys over the ones on this Cleveland team. But I guess that's the point...though it's debatable.

The Cavs benefit for the best player in the world. Olajuwon was the best player in 1994 though.

Maxwell kinda played that series like Delly is. Kenny Smith I dont know who he's comparable to. Thorpe is your Thompson with better scoring.

The Jet is probably at least as valuable as JR? Horry and Mozgov might be comparable in output. Elie was another solid role player...definitely better than Shumpert offensively, though idk how his defense was.

Had LBJ played back in the 90's, his numbers and dominance would not be the same.

He has benefited greatly from rule changes favoring offense.

these days defenses are not as "tough" but are smarter and more complex

i think Bron would be Magic Johnson back then but better defensively

While true, this is also a necessary by-product of the NBA eliminating hand and forearm checks by defenders.

"The first year, they took my hand check away," Rivers recalled. "The next year, they took our forearm away. And then, I retired. I was done. I was like, 'I've got to move my feet? I quit. This is no fun anymore.'"

-Doc Rivers.

James is one of the few remaining players who could have hung w/the old school guys.
