Jury is still out on Thompson. Semien is at best average as a hitter an embarrassment with the glove. the last guy the Sox developed was...Joe Crede...man that's a long, long drought.

He hit his ballz off one year - that 2006 year. So did everyone. And his health record is atrocious.

Crede was around a 90 OPS+ guy, so below average, but for a 20 home run guy that played stellar 3b, yes, I credit him as a position player we developed. Why shouldn't we do that?

yep...we developed one position player 11 years ago, got a year out of him before his position was DL.
