With Cards down 2-1, I cautiously root for the Nats.

If they can get this one, with Sherzer and Strasburg in the wings, they'd be n good shape. But I suppose if LA wins this they can say the same, of course.

Nats were up but Dodgers come back on Corbin . Corbin sucked game 1 so not sure why pull the starter for him. They don't have anyone else in middle relief they can use? Just got a feeling like the Dodgers got this even though it's in the 6th.

Well it's a big lead now. Corbin sucks. Rally with 2 outs. This one's over.

Cards still have a very good chance to win this if they can get it to G5. Flaherty is waiting.

Yep. Braves need to win Game 4.

Game 2 starter gets full four days’ rest for Game 5 thanks to playoff schedule.

Overemphasizes top starter or two after 162 game season where rotation depth matters.

Sort of my argument when people say we don't need Cole. Yes we actually do need him.

Braves got leadoff triple in 7th and failed to get the insurance run.

It will cost them.

Cards definitely winning that series now with Flaherty going in G5. Need Dodgers to win now. Don't trust the Nats to stop the Cards especially after burning all their starters to hell and back.

Braves have been the better team but Team Rabbit’s Foot will prevail.

The reliever injury in Game 1 will bug me even if he is just average.

If Martinez doesn’t pitch yesterday cards win the series already.

all we heard were how the astros were invincible and juggernauts etc.. etc... they may still win the series but they proved don't believe the hype.

why is verlander starting this game? should have saved him for game 5.

Starting to go into panic mode a bit. This is shaping up for a potential Cards run. If Astros and Dodgers both go down, Cards could certainly win the whole thing. What an absolute shit show that will be.

Well Cards are definitely in. If Nats beat the Dodgers, Cards are likely going to the WS. Imagine if the Astros go down tomorrow, what's left to stop the Cards? Yankees will be tough but not impossible to knock off.

Wait and see.

But what it will say is it is not about the record. AL East was a dog fight. AL West was not. Outside of the A's that division has little comp.

AL Central was weak. Cle was injured and sold off talent. Minn IMO would have been a wild card if Cle was full strength.

NL Central was a dog fight. Cards had to hold off 2 teams until late season.

NL East 2 a little bit of a fight but Nat's put it together in the 2nd half. Might be the best team in division depending on tonight's result. It really comes down to pitching and the Nat's have 3 TOR quality starters.

So I see the Cards as the underdog vs Either LAD/Nat's. And I would rather have the Nat's in the series. New blood and their rotation matches up with anything the AL can muster.

Nats aren't beating the Cards. Their pitchers will have very little left in the tank. I've seen this play out time and time again.

Braves fooled me. Thought no NL central team would beat them first round.

CRAIG KIMBREL REBOOT!

Kershaw first 2 pitches 2 bombs Rendon and Soto. Tie game.
