We need to capitalize on this deadline. So many teams need relievers. We have a good one and 2 decent ones. I wouldn't trade Crain to Detroit unless they give us Castellanos their hot shot 3B at AAA. I can't wait for the deadline this year. I'm hoping it gives us some excitement for next year.

Matt Garza - S - Cubs
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that a trade sending Matt Garza to the Rangers is "getting closer."
The Rangers have seemed to be the front-runner for a while now, and it appears they could get a deal done before Garza makes his next start for the Cubs. Rosenthal notes that there are prospects "from various levels" in play, including righty C.J. Edwards. Mike Olt is also "possibly" involved.

heyman was stating that Peavy may draw more interest than garza due to contract and less top specs to give up. personally I want garza dealt so teams fight for peavy.

Garza to the Rangers. Now teams can big against each other for Peavy who is by far the best pitcher on the market.

yea i hope teams bid hard. soriano might be on the move. im very curious to see what big deals happen. if garza trade is the biggest than you know it was a shit deadline.

I did a little readin gon Profar who is a great prospect but scouts have said he's gona be a good-very good player but not great. I think it's fair. You get a RF for Cruz who will be suspended and an All-Star Starting Pitcher in Peavy and control of him through next year.
I'd tell Texas that's the only way I'm sending him to Texas. Otherwise I ship him to OAK and get that Michael Ynoa who is 6'7" 210 lbs.
