As some of you may remember I bought a 2012 Cadillac last month. Well I expected buyers remorse but I must say after a month this may be the best car I've ever owned. I had a 2003 STS years age which I loved but it didn't hold a candle to this one. American luxury sports sedans have come a long way from my grandfathers Deville. My sole complaint is the MPG which was expected. Great car, fantastic handling, unbelievable breaks, fantastic stereo, seats and options. The power is simply out of this world. I am very happy with this purchase. If in the market for a midsize sport sedan I would recommend the CTSV. The car is therapeutic, if you had a rough day you just feel better after driving home. Just simply an awesome machine.

If I may, how much did you pay for it? What was the mileage?

Cars get me from A to B and wish I didn't have to have one. They are almost to the point where you have to take out a second mortgage, it's ridiculous. I used to love cars and now I have a 2003 Camry that runs perfectly and gets good gas mileage. All I care about is how long it lasts without a maintenance expense. I got this car at 90k miles for free and unloaded my huge loaded 2006 Suburban that cost a fortune. It's a car, not a house.

I'm glad you are enjoying yours though Monster, I'm sure it's an incredible ride.. I know people enjoy their vehicles and more power to them !

I can't argue any of that Jester. I have been pretty practical for 30 years. This time not so much.

Sounds very nice but I'm a truck guy. I get the same pleasure driving my F150 SuperCrew with the 5.0 coyote engine. Fast truck that still gets 18 mpg even when I'm driving it hard listening to the engine growl.

I really want a new car, only I don't need one.:)

So I drive around with the satisfaction of knowing 95% of other motorists do not own their vehicles.

Once one owns a truck, anything else feels like a go-cart.

I miss having one.

Very nice. Love the ford trucks. As a home owner they are good to have. Never needed a full size but neighbor has the 250 platinum for his massive camper which they get a lot of use out of. Work too as a commercial AC company owner.

I avoid new due to the instant loss at purchase. Cars are not investments for sure... Unless a rare classic.

I imagine paying rent is the only thing worse. However not an option for many.

Get it tuned. Best $5-700 you could spend on it.

Ah.....remember the days of the 39.95 tuneup. Those were the days. And the 9.95 lube and oil

I think he means tuned on a dyno to increase fuel air mix and spark for increased HP. All computer controlled now. The days of doing timing in you garage are over. Shame, that was fun stuff tinkering with your engine. Can't hardly find the motor under all the crap now. They do perform though.

I remember beer cheaper than soda. Gas and tobacco were cheap. Then again I made 600 a month.

hell.. i remember american prices....i miss those

a 30 pack of beer is over 30 bucks here.. a non name brand (25) pack of smokes is 19.50 a normal non branded pack (20) is 16.00.

Smoking is high in Murica. All tax
Same carton of Marlboro in Asia is ten bucks.
But nobody smokes anymore which is a good thing.
Some older guys or cigars with drinks. Very few young folks which is good.

yeah i remember paying next to nothing in Taiwan for brand name smokes.. but damn they were harsh.. but for what i was paying i guess there are no real complaints.

Also that caddy would cost over 100K here.

Theres a 2008 CTS Auto non V model selling for 65k online. The only thing it does have going for it is it has roughly 5ooo miles on it.

A 2013 Escalade is 150k

you dont see many caddys here
