I'm glad he didn't become the cubs owner.

what's the downside?

Updated stadium...the best players....

What's the worst he could do? Raise ticket prices? Oh wait...Rickett's is already doing that...with a shitty team.

Bingo. Ironically, I've lived on the north side for the last 6 years.

Down side is, the Cubs might have a chance at being good, and their already arrogant, douchey fans will be ever more so. They are almost up there with Heat fans in terms of douchiness (is that a word?)

But that's a whole different topic.

Code blue is a fan of the 3 teams I hate the most, but we have the Bulls in common, so I don't rip those teams as hard as I would normally.

That's what I'm saying, but tel that to those frat boy douchebags around Wrigley and nationwide.

A lot of them are obnoxious arrogant pricks and act entitled, like the world series is theirs. None of them were happy for the Sox in 2005. They acted bitter, in a 'How dare they win it before we did' kind of way. Made me really hate cubs fans after that one. Before it was jus fun to throw jabs back at each other and share a beer with them.

I don't know if you see all the "W" flags they roll around with, but it's just a pompous thing to do.

Most of them. But a good majority of them are cubs fans because it's the cool thing to do. If being a Sox fan was given the amount of fan fare that being cubs fan is, there'd be a ton more Sox fans.

And I love how some cubs fans jumped on the Sox bandwagon in 2000 and 2005.

The difference is, every time the cubs make it to the playoffs, I root for them, not as a fan, not a Chicago fan either, but as a fan of history. I know how historic it would be if they won. I'd congratulate them and most of their fans if it ever happens, I'm just firmly rooting against it.

Well you're in luck because I doubt the Cubs are winning anytime soon.
