Say if the draft went in another direction for the Bears. Then guess what, you are one injury away at TE and WR for those position groups to be absolute jokes. I’d much rather have Kmet/Loveland & Moore/Odunze/Burden then new LT, New RB, Kmet, Moore/Odunze.
The rest of the draft would presumably have adjusted. So no Loveland in the 1st likely means Poles targets one perhaps as early at his second 2nd round pick.

Let's say Banks and Henderson are the picks, then Mason Taylor was picked at #42, one after our #41 pick. Terrance Ferguson and Elijah Arroyo went shortly after that too. If they still made the trade-down in the 2nd they still would have been able to pick Harold Fannin if they wanted to. We'll never know what would have happened though.

I'd feel more comfortable if they found another backup guard in FA, but the depth is actually "okay" now especially if bates can actually be healthy.

They at least have 2 bodies at tackle who can potentially be okay in ozzy and kiran.
Murray is still there as well. He may not be starter quality but looked like he could hold the fort if put in next to guys that are.

This team isn't quality OL depth away from being a SB contending team. I don't really care what positions they took, I just hope they found a couple difference makers.

This. But honestly if the Bears are looking too awful, I may or may not go find something else to do. There were a few games last year I didn't bother with. It's too painful to watch. You know what's going to suck this year? If Eberflus comes to town with the Cowboys and beats the Bears; his defenses generally played above their talent-level against BG offenses.
Don’t even put that juju out there, bro. I would lose my ever-loving mind if that brainless moron stopped #18. lol, no!

You are right we don’t know what would have happened. What we do know is Johnson wouldn’t have added two more potential playmakers which helps make his offense work so well.

Ben Johnson appears to have gotten what he wanted. I'm content with that.
