Sources: 14 playoff teams likely in new NFL CBA

If and when a collective bargaining agreement is finalized, it it is expected to change the NFL's playoff structure as currently constituted for next season, league sources told ESPN, including an expansion to seven teams from each conference.

Not sure i like this. the bears would have made it in the nfc. Steelers in the afc. Two teams that didn't deserve it. I can see years were shit 6-10 teams make it.

A 6-10 team is highly unlikely to make the playoffs....

bears were not 1 game out of playoffs. They were 2 because of tie breakers

not sure what you are taking about. The next best record was cowboys and bears with bears having the tie breaker because of their win, so the bears would have made it..

Yeah you are right. Still see crappy teams making it though. Maybe more 9-7 teams. We will see. More opposed to extending the season to 17 games than an extra playoff team.
