And back on topic, I am please to see where Morin has progressed up to this point. Going to be interesting as to who his linemates will be.

Looks like Sharp and Brouwer to start. At least, that is where he was in practice today.

I'm sure he'll see some shifts with JT and Kane too.

Q never keeps anything the same for 60 minutes.

Lets move the bottom pairing D-men discussion to another thread.

I'm glad Morin was called up. He's the type of guy who will help provide DEPTH scoring. Wouldn't mind seeing him paired with Toews and Kane and moving Brouwer down to play with Sharp and Kopecky.

I agree with your second sentence... Morin would look nice with a playmaker like Kane feeding him the puck. Otherwise, Sharpie is going to steal his thunder, there's no playmaker on that line.

I still think Morin should have made the team out of camp, kid looked awesome out there. No idea why Scott/Hendry are out there over a player like Morin.

Once Campbell went down that was impossible or Morin would have been here.

Without Hossa playing, maybe we can do away with the Kopecky love for a while. Although certainly not alone in the "brutal" category these last few games, Kopecky has earned a spot on the 4th line or maybe even a "go think about it in the press box". Stalberg has played better as of late and I hope he stays in the top-6 until at least Hossa comes back.

Scramble em anyway you want, but I think the top-6 should be: Toews, Kane, Sharp, Brouwer, Stalberg and Morin.

Um..Hossa was leading the NHL with Kopecky on his wing...those 2 were plaing very well together. He's prob the best forward in front of the net and is part of the top PP unit of the Hawks (which has been a bright spot for the Hawks).

What exactly has Morin done in the NHL to earn top 6 minutes?

yeah.. it had nothing to do with the center on hossa's line ...and everything to do with the guy who polishes hossa's jock after games.... gimme a break.

Not far from 127th and Archer
In the 4 games since Hossa was injured...

Sharp- 1 goal, 3 assists, -7

Kopecky- 1 goal, 0 assists, - 9

It's difficult to make a case for keeping the two on the same line for tonights game.

Kid has some natural talent you can see it. Has a good eye for the plays and sees the ice well. Skates pretty well and has some decent hands. He will have a good NHL career. Is he ready for NHL ice? Im not too sure yet but 2 games isn't much to go on. So far looks like a solid prospect.

Sent back to Rockford this morning. Bolland must be ready.

Also I heard it was Bollands Ribs, not his back. FWIW.

Good to hear.

Ribs hurt a hell of a lot but I don't think there's too much worse (long-term) then a back injury.

Yup Bollands status updated from indefinitely to expected back. Probably been removed from IR as well.

So we will have a full team for the first time this year.

Interesting.

You can tell he's a rookie and only 19 since his strength and weight are pretty low still. He was getting pushed around a lot, kind of like Kaner's first season. I'd like to see him get stronger on the puck and beef up a bit.

Won't mind seeing him back in Chicago though for an emergency call up.

I bruised mine about 3 weeks ago. The first 2 weeks were terrible. It got worse every day. It's been 3.5 weeks and they're finally getting close to normal. Bruised ribs suck. They can linger for up to 3 months.

Thank you for the update RK.

Agree with the assesment that Morin needs some more bulk. He's going to be a good NHLer though like I said he has that ability to see the ice and plays develop nicely. Just not ready for the size and speed of the NHL yet. He will be though. Was nice seeing him up.

Good news about Bolland. Ribs and back are hard to seperate though. May be ribs but I am sure it is effecting the back also or vice versa. I have a rib that pops out every now and then. Its due to muscle attached to my back or some mumbo jumbo like that I aint no dr and I don't really pay attention to what mine is talking about I am often to busy looking at her legs.

Anyways. Hope Bolllands back and fit as he can be. Ribs suck. Unless thet are marinated overnight.
