Any word on whether or not the Bears are going to bring him back next year? Read somewhere that they can bring him back for 1.3-4ish million since he was on PUP list. I definately think they should. He would be a decent player to have in the mix and is a pretty good returner.

Idk how he is recovering or the exact severity of his injury, but while I don't think it would be wise for him to play football, if he is going to make a comeback anyway, we might as well do it and be there for him.

Johnny Knox isn't a pretty good returner. He's a pretty good receiver. He's an excellent returner. Easily better than Hester has been this year.

If the bears don't bring him back he'll never start again. He can't read defenses / can't fight for the ball. I wish him a healthy recovery/good wishes with his life and all but I don't want to see him starting here

He has to make it onto the practice field before any team gives him a shot. Taking a hit is one thing, being able to spread the field is another. There is no guarantee that Johnny will have that burst that he used to have.

I don't know of too many top tier guys that could come back from an injury like this and not be a step or two slower. I just don't know if Knox can do it.

We really could have used him this year.

I wonder if people are still laughing because I said he would be the Bears number two if he were healthy?

LOL!

We could really use him IF he can get back on the field and play similar to pre-injury status. Its obvious that Hester is never going to develop into the type of receiver that we were hoping for. Makes you wonder what the hell B Marsh was talking about when he kept praising Hester in training camp for his "skills".

Isn't that what Peyton Manning had done? He looks 100%...

Exactly bearmick, he is a very reliable returner. Knox is an ace on special teams, on top of that he is a good receiver. If he is completely healthy next year I think it's a no brainer to bring the kid back. I simply do not understand why so many people ripped on Knox. It's like they expected him to be a #1 WR like Marshall which he is not, but that doesn't mean he isn't very valuable to this team.

I never understood the Knox hate, really.

A certain contingent of fans hated on him because he didn't play DB well enough on bad passes.

But as you say, he was/is a very dangerous returner and a good WR who gave us a legitimate speedster option. I hope his healing has gone well and he's able to resume his career.

It's really too bad that Knox had to have the severe injury. With the draft of Alshon and the Marshall trade, Knox was the deep threat we needed. He may not be really good, but he would be doing a hell of a lot better than Hester, and Knox is actually a pure receiver unlike hester.

The Knox hate stems from the idea that Martz thought he was a #1 WR, which he clearly isn't. Knox would fit in well now (how often have we said shit like this?). Its really too bad he suffered the injury, though I feel because of his injury, it really made Emery go after Marshall and then Alshon in the draft.

I think Knox will come back next season and make a monster comeback (provided he's completely healed 100%), the trio of Marshall, Jeffery and Knox will would be lethal...we'd have our speed, slot and #1 wr....very nice combination.

I'm also looking forward to next year's draft, pretty sure GM Emery will take care of the O-line while still infusing young talent for depth to other positions.

But the question you have to ask yourself is, would they have drafted Alshon if Knox never got injured?
