just went to hoops hype, and the best available 3 is some french guy in the d-league who signed with manchester united once. what???

should we just sign someone like robert horry or austin croshere to play the 3 even though they're 4s?

should we play tyrus at the three, joakim at the 4, and miller at the 5?

Yes a groin strainn can definately linger and if Salmons is out more than a few games we could be in serious trouble. But we can't go get anyone who is any good. I'd rather see the big lineup of Thomas at the 3 with Noah and Miller in before Linton Johnson. In the Indiana game Tim Thomas and Johnson were getting destroyed.

What players on the team can play spot minutes at the 3? tyrus Thomas maybe? Tim Thomas maybe very short stints? Or maybe a 3 guard lineup? I don't know.

I think we go three guard lineup for the most part.

Maybe the Dem's that cheered the speech of Calderon on the floor of Congress were doing shots of Absolut after. The wives were drinking Absolut and cranberry.

Vodka Maker Apologizes for Ad Depicting Southwest as Part of Mexico

Monday, April 07, 2008

MEXICO CITY — The Absolut vodka company apologized Saturday for an ad campaign depicting the southwestern U.S. as part of Mexico amid angry calls for a boycott by U.S. consumers.

The campaign, which promotes ideal scenarios under the slogan "In an Absolut World," showed a 1830s-era map when Mexico included California, Texas and other southwestern states. Mexico still resents losing that territory in the 1848 Mexican-American War and the fight for Texas independence.

But the ads, which ran only in Mexico and have since ended, came as the United States builds up its border security amid an emotional debate over illegal immigration from their southern neighbor.

"As a global company, we recognize that people in different parts of the world may lend different perspectives or interpret our ads in a different way than was intended in that market, and for that we apologize."

Vin & Sprit, Absolut's Sweden-based parent company, will be acquired by French spirit maker Pernod Ricard SA under a deal reached last week.

What's with the hatred of Texas? Trust me, Texas would have no problem being a nation of its own. They have all the resources they need right there in the state.

Texas is probably the state I've spent the most time in other than Illinois. I don't know what it is, but like half my family moved down there as well as some friends. Spread from Dallas, Austin and Houston.

Its for the most part nice from what ive seen.

I imagine Bri once had a lover from Texas that looked like the marlboro man and he wounded her deeply, hence the hatred.

I don't see anything wrong with the ad. People are too uptight, I think it's funny, you could easy imagine the ad the other way with Mexico part of the US, hell it basically is at this point. With as much as we make fun of being able to take over canada with a busload of girl scouts, people get all butt hurt of this? The fact that the Ad is this old and people are just now fear-mongering over it proves just how insignificant it was.

It is wrong because Florida is not part of Cuba and British Columbia is not part of Nintendo.

You are just like a giant pill. Some days you are hard to swallow and leave a bad taste in my mouth and other days you are Dr. Feelgood.

Marlboro Man? Hun this isn't the 60's. Real men don't smoke anymore.
