Sorry but I posted facts above. If you want to dispute it go ahead but do your research first and you will find it is accurate. It also helps if you've watched both programs and know what's going on rather than just complaining.

Kerfluffle I have to applaud you, your avatar and political ideology go hand in hand.

Although I do agree with your first comment. O'reilly and beck ARE NOT news programs they are opinion pieces, and should not be viewed as such whereas Olbermann is.

O'Reilly is an independent and would never do that. Everytime he presents a story he has a person representing the right AND the left. That is what fair and balanced reporting is all about. Olbermann? He just name calls and there is no news over there.

I Agree and disagree here. O'reilly does get multiple views no matter the topic, but the thing is, it usually ends up as 2 against one because O'reilly is on one side of the coin or the other, so one of his two guests is outnumbered and gets talked down frequently. I have plenty of experience watching Beck and O'reilly, my ex girlfriend was about as conservative as they come, and the TV never fucking switched from fox news. Although it wasnt that bad for me, I am mostly conservative save for most social issues, so I guess it would primarily be from a fiscal standpoint.

As far as fox news always being fair and balanced. I need only bring up the "Mass Effect" debacle to put a nail in that coffin.

The title scrawled across the screen the entire time? 100% abosultely FALSE. Everything they talk about is false. If they bothered to have a fuckin reporter their kid whatever actually play the game, they wouldnt make themseleves look stupid.

In all honesty in any kind of political news, opinion, or pundit pieces, if youre looking for "Fair and Balanced" you're going to be looking for a long time.

Amen. The guy who says what you want to hear is Fair and Balanced, everyone else is a partisan hack.

lol, man, I need to ignore Kerfuffle too. Do you really believe the shit you type?

Seriously, I know right? In all my years of perusing forums for all different sorts of subjects I have never once been even remotely tempted to put a user on "Ignore" but just the other day after reading some more of his utterly hackneyed, inane and banal sheeple talk I was thinking to myself, "FINALLY! The time is nigh bookjones, the time is nigh. . .a poster who truly deserves the distinction."

Kerfluffle I have to applaud you, your avatar and political ideology go hand in hand. People started calling me Darth Fluff so I thought I'd add a little humor here and change my avatar to match.

Although I do agree with your first comment. O'reilly and beck ARE NOT news programs they are opinion pieces, and should not be viewed as such whereas Olbermann is. I put Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh in the same category as shows where you clearly know they are conservatives and their programs are based on that. Rachel Maddow has the same type of program but is a liberal. O'Reilly and Olbermann though are supposed to be news programs and for the most part O'Reilly tries to stay in the middle.

I Agree and disagree here. O'reilly does get multiple views no matter the topic, but the thing is, it usually ends up as 2 against one because O'reilly is on one side of the coin or the other, so one of his two guests is outnumbered and gets talked down frequently yes that is true. I have plenty of experience watching Beck and O'reilly, my ex girlfriend was about as conservative as they come, and the TV never fucking switched from fox news. I love this girl! It's the same in my house - Fox news is on all the time. I watch O'Reilly and Hannity every night. I don't really watch Beck cause he's on at 4pm and I don't have Tivo. But they sometimes replay his shows on the weekends and I catch it then. Although it wasnt that bad for me, I am mostly conservative save for most social issues, so I guess it would primarily be from a fiscal standpoint.

As far as fox news always being fair and balanced. I need only bring up the "Mass Effect" debacle to put a nail in that coffin. Not sure what you're referring to here - please explain what the mass effect debacle was. You're probably just using a different term here but I'm not able to figure out what news story you're referring to here so please clarify.

watch the youtube vid I posted. At least fox news did apologize for posting false info.

Its not really a conservative/lib issue anyhow, Liberals push forward some of the most ludicrous BS when it comes to how to raise our children as well, but then on the other hand conservatives want jesus to do it. So **** em both.

Okay I see the video now - my company filters out all youtube references so when I responded above there was no video showing up. Now at home I see it. Unfortunately not familiar with this game Mass Effect but they did post Microsoft's response in the story refuting it - but still an error I agree.

LOL. So, so true. A few points.

-- I don't have a real problem with the donations because everybody in the world knows what Olbermann's opinions are. It's not like he's putting himself out there as an unbiased news man while his contributions secretly show his bias. I also find it utterly hilarious that Fox News is so into this story when the parent company of that entity contributed hundreds of thousands (might have gotten into the millions) of dollars to Republican candidates, and that they have tons of candidates on their payroll. But the bottom line is, Olbermann broke his employer's rules. So he should be suspended.

-- I've never put anyone on ignore, either, Bookie. Hmm.

-- Olbermann is a TOTAL ******. I lean somewhat left (very left on social issues), and mainly consider myself libertarian, so I agree with some of what Olbermann says -- or at least what he said when he first started his show. Thing is, I haven't watched it in a few years now. I'm surprised MSNBC can contain the guy's swollen head inside a studio. Olbermann's biggest problem has always been his own ego. It killed him at ESPN and it'll probably end his stint at MSNBC. My husband and I were talking about this story last night and we figure Olbermann will self-destruct if/when he returns from his suspension by blasting NBC for suspending him. I can only imagine the "Special Comment" on that one.

Simply put, the guy got "suspended" for breaking rules/guidelines set by the company he works for. He deserved it.

It's actually Olbermann's second stint on MSNBC. He was there years ago, then left, and then came back about 5 years ago. His ratings are pretty bad and after seeing his Scott Brown rant I'm not surprised.

He gets his news from some talking head with an agenda. And the news he gets from the internet...well...Bill Maher said it best last night, "if it was a comment found on the internet, I'm pretty sure it wasn't fact-checked."
