The Bulls this year without Rose and with other injures had a 0.666 record.
That means they would be the 2nd seed in the east without Rose.

The lockout had a MAJOR impact on many teams this season. The depth of the team is why they had more sustained success than most other teams. You're not going to have completely dead tired teams squaring off against each other every other night like there was this season.

And let's not forget that you are glossing over the fact that the Bulls had the WORST offense in the month of April, and were 7-5 against playoff teams w/o Rose. Without Rose for the majority of the season & Deng for the 1st few months, this team is going to struggle mightly to score. Plus, we really have no clue what the roster will look like other than the core players.

I think it's a bit too early to start predicting how the East will shape up, but I really don't see us finishing anywhere higher than 4th at best.

Yes it is always this.

Some rules are for everyone else BUT the Bulls.

This lockout had an impact on all the teams BUT the Bulls blah blah blah
When it comes playoff time all the teams will play harder BUT the Bulls blah blah blah.

Now tell me. How could the Bulls had more sustained success than other teams with their second best player missing 10 games and playing the rest of the games with an injured wrist, their starting SG missing 50 games, and with Lucas as a starting PG in some games (Yes CJ got injured too this year). Losing 3/5 starters isn't an "impact"? Come on. Tell me that we had the easiest schedule or a bullshit like this.

As for the Bulls depth: 1 word. JOKE
And everyone saw it when Joakim Noah got injured in the Philly series and the 6ers eliminated them. CJ Watson and Asik (DEPTH!) was a big reason why this happened. I am not saying that they are not good BENCH players but come on now..get real. Asik can't score 2 points to save his life.

To be clear I said that other teams must become BETTER than what they were this season for the Bulls to lose the #2 seed. 7-5 against playoff teams w/o Rose is still better than 14-19. A lot better.

Did I say the lockout didn't affect the Bulls? Nope. It affected every team, BUT, and this isn't rocket science, the teams with quality depth were able to have more sustained success then those without it. And teams that brought the majority of their players back as well. San Antonio, Miami, Chicago, Indiana, OKC all had almost their entire rosters in tact from the previous season. You don't honestly think that the lack of practice time, or virtually no training camp didn't have an effect on ALOT of teams this year do you? Next season is going to be an entirely different monster. And teams WILL BE BETTER. There's simply no denying that.

And you have to look at the big picture here. Watson & Brewer are most likely gone. There will be no Rose or Deng. This team's only reliable scorer will be Boozer, & we all know how much trust Bulls fans put in him. Make no delusions about it, next season is going to be a struggle.
