The McCaskey's have taken a loyal fan base and actually turned them into fans (not all, but many) that root for their favorite team to actually lose in hopes that maybe something positive will come out of it. The McCaskey stench is on everything.
Even that is no solace. If they lose and fire Eberflus, they will just hire the next milk toast, lame catchphrase coordinator no one has heard of , and then the fans will talk themselves into believing gives them a chance for a season or two. Rinse and repeat.

The Bears had success staring them in the face, practically beating them on the head. The perfect storm of a once in a lifetime confluence of a super star prospect QB, a first OA pick, and a legendary winner HC all for ripe for picking.

F*ck them.

That’s because the McCaakeys are terrified of everything, including cheerleaders.

I think that's part of what's frustrating. It's like the football fates felt sorry for us and dangled some low hanging fruit for us to snatch, only for Poles to be like "nah, we're good". Poles failure to even consider upgrading coaching alone is worth firing him for. He had the best opportunity to upgrade the coach I've seen in many seasons, and he couldn't even pick up the phone to make some calls.

I was holding my two year old son when they were getting ready for the game winning field goal, and I used it as the opportunity to give him the speech every bears fan should hear at some point in their early life. I told him that the bears seemingly have hope, but to not be fooled. The bears are amazing at giving you hope, then snatch it away in the most painful ways possible at the last second. If the bears were to make this kick, bears fans would rejoice. Bears fans are meant to be angry. So this kick will not be good. Sure enough, the bears did what the bears did. What a bunch of losers.

I had a similar talk with my son before the kick. He was so hopeful but I told him not to get too excited because it's "da Bears". He was so dejected by the block and I was laughing my ass off. I told him to never get your hopes up and that if he continues to support this team then he needs to get ready for decades of sadness. I tried pushing his fandom towards other teams but I think it's too late. I failed him as a father. It doesn't help that the local team, the Cowboys, are just as shitty.

I can certainly relate to the apathy.

Your mom was there to, but my daddy said she's just a dirty trashy side piece. Guess i'm too young to know what that means.

This is hilarious... I was with my girlfriend, who doesn't really watch football, and she got really into this game... I was explaining the rules, if we make the kick we win, blah blah blah... and once it was blocked, she was disappointed, but she was more concerned with how I was going to feel because I'm actually a fan... but I was expressionless. I think I uttered, "of course they blocked it", and then changed it to RedZone. She almost seemed confused at my lack of emotion haha.

Then you should know better than to ignorantly talk about fucking someones mother, wife, sister, father, brother without knowing the circumstance.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I had the same reaction/feelings 100%. Didn't bother me at all.
