I've been to a game in Vancouver, fans aside, I had a lot of fun. Of course Hawks won 3-0 and I sat about 20 rows up from Lou but it was still fun, if you just disregard the fans and fearing for my life by wearing blackhawks stuff.

I saw a hawks fan win the 50/50 draw at a Vancouver game. He stood up yelled **** yah. Got shit thrown at him while he walked out of the stands and didnt come back to watch the end of the 3rd period. Smart dude.

Thanks for that. Never read all the chants. Yeah, they have nine of them and surely would be annoying; but ya know what? They're having a blast. Can't knock that.

Except every one of them is Special person and if that entertains anyone, they certainly don't have a functioning brain.

but hey, it's Nashville. .. can't expect much. Bunch of no talent dumbass losers in that city.

I was out there on a half work half social visit so I didn't really have my hawks stuff with me luckily. I wasn't fully expecting to go so I only had my had I think. I am hoping that the fans only act the way they did toward hawks fans but I think I know better. My buddy splits season tickets and even he hates the fans.

No. I was too busy texting and driving that I must have missed it. Hopefully someone called 911.

I'm sure you were not texting and driving; let alone texting anyone. Don't lie lol

I never really have had a bad experience at a canucks game as a hawks fan. Just get the typical dumb surrey dork who thinks its funny to direct his bad jokes at the mule to try and get me rilled up. But once the mule uncages the wop in her then surrey boys tend to cry like puppies and shrivel up. The canuck fans in the streets are the shitty ones. Rogers arena is more of a safe haven from the violent canuck fans but def loaded with the dumb **** fans.

Actually, that was almost my exact experience, they guys at the game were pretty shitty, but they gave it more to other fans who may have gotten a bit carried away, it was the walk back to my buddies car that was umm... not unpleasant, but I definitely took my hawks stuff off. The security basically stopped at the corner of the stadium.

Why are you intent on defending Nashville fans so much?

He loves jerking off anyone from Nashville. It's his passion in life.

This just in. .. TCD is now moving to Nashville! But we will need to wait until the next page to hear about it.

Oh yah i forgot.

So i went to a game in calgary once. Which is pretty much the nashville of canada i guess.

It wasnt that fun. Calgary itself is a boring city and nobody lives downtown. I didnt get drunk with a bunch of calgary dudes and at no time did the calgary fans chant any songs.

Pretty cool huh?

Ill tell you more on the next page

There are basically two different versions of why the cheering during the National Anthem started, atleast what I have been told over the years. Pretty sure this is what you are alluding too but I'll expand since it seems few people know the reasons.

1. 1985 playoffs - The Oilers' fans boo and are disrespectful in general to the National Anthem during a home game in Edmonton. Instead of booing Canada's, the Blackhawks fans instead cheer for our National Anthem.

2. 1985 playoffs - Blackhawks fans are so excited for the game that they cheer throughout the National Anthem and it sticks.

The cheering sort of came to light during the 1991 All Star game during the Persian Gulf War. There are plenty of videos around the web from that day.

The cheering continued after the 1985 playoffs. Sometimes just a small number sometimes larger numbers, but it was pretty loud before the 1991 All-Star game. The 1991 All-star game just made it famous, but it was already rolling along and many a game before the 1991 All-star game that had my ear ringing from it.

It is just unfortunate that loud music comes on over the PA system after the NA and before the puck drop, as the cheering used to go through the initial puck drop. Sometimes for a min or two.
