This is sourced to NFL.com so it appears legit. I wonder what the Bears would get in a trade. A 7th rounder and a ham sandwich?
He’ll get more than a 7th. It’s hard to get o lineman mid season for teams. And there are A LOT of guard needy teams rn.

Trade him, then poach that rookie Gator center off of Detroit’s practice squad

As much as it delight me to see Davis gone, it doesn’t really help much at this point seeing as how he’s not even a starter anymore. And it wouldn’t save the team any money either. Sure, they might get a 7th round pick for him but lol
It would create 9.3M of space in '24 but would create a $2M dead hit in '25 - so trade would free up 7.3M of net cap space for the Bears. Thats worth it for the Bears by itself imo. Im still skeptical anyone would want Davis without asking the Bears to eat a bunch of his salary though.

Edit: annualized 7.3M - the salary he has already received in ‘24 erodes that number

With Borom and Bates nearing return he's an easy trade as the depth will be replaced by those two....and someone (multiple) will need to go from the 53

I suggested Davis and a 7th for a 6th a month ago.....I'd still jump at that

It would be like 6 I think - Still the bigger issue.

What team is actually interested in Nate? They should fire their GM already as anyone who watched tape of this dude and thinks they can fix him is crazy.

Not really. This year is a sunk cost already and he’s getting cut next season regardless. There’s like 2 mil in a dead cap space when they cut him. If you can get a ham sandwich then do it. Regardless his days here are done barring a bunch of injuries

Plus the value of getting his moping ass out the locker room

This motherfucker plays well just often enough that you can tell it's an effort and attitude problem. Get him out

Honestly my guess is there is only one option, like trading for another bad contract, disgruntled player.

The Jets actually make sense for both teams, where you hope Rodgers and Adams can get Davis to buy in, and you have a contract to off-set dollars.

I would think the bears would only get back trash but maybe Reddick is a real pipe dream.

It has to be for another bad contract, maybe not even get back a pick.

We have one, someone else has one. Reddick is the best bad contact out there.

He'll fake an injury if he gets traded to a team he doesn't like. Dude is a slob.
