He would cost an additional $10M this year to cut but next year it’s doable if they designate him post 6/1. What an expensive lesson learned that would be though.
A lesson learned? Like when a player already has a lazy reputation and the team hates him and wants to get rid of him don’t sign him? You thought poles learned the lesson from Claypool….

0-3, here we come.

Maybe the Bears can get the #1 *and* #2 pick.
We can dream. But another benefit is to get a creative OC/DC and a HC who is from the offensive side of the ball.

I guess I'm in the minority here. It sounds like Davis' family member was nearing end of life and he was given time off .

I don't see a problem with him missing time. I do have a problem with the organization not having a backup plan for his absence.
Bump this response.

If you're right, it would make sense. My wife is a hospice nurse and I've heard a lot of stories. The vast majority of the time it's much harder on the family than the patient....so his taking off to be with them is far more important in his life than a fucking football game.

this guy went from a personal day to retirement.

the conclusion I've reached is the Bears need to stop granting personal days.

Davis about to get a year off, $10 mil for his grief. Now that’s a rich loaf

He took notes from Eddie Goldmans School of Loafery.
